And it ain’t Pinter
What I particularly relish
Is the types of fans
Who will rush to book
Just like the Hamlet Cumberbatch
And they won’t actually understand or like the okay
Thus serving to put them off the theatre
I also doubt it will be better than the Betrayal
With KST and Ben Miles
Or the Dervla Kirwan one

Very happy to see this! I was fearing another ridiculously tiny theatre and stupidly short run when I saw where that film was made. Hopefully getting tickets won't be too much of a scramble - just the usual get in when booking opens job.
Also: Yay for Hiddles doing something not-Shakespeare on stage! Much as I love a bit of Shakey and a bit of Hiddles he's been really starting to turn into a bore on the topic just lately.

This will be my first production of Betrayal. Not my first Pinter, though. I find him hit and miss. I'm not sure if my usual theatre buddy will overcome her Pinter-aversion to see it.
There are plenty of regular theatregoers who aren't particularly Pinter fans - no reason why people new to his work will be any different. But getting new people in through the door to give it a chance can only be a good thing.

Betrayal (last Donmar version) was my first introduction to Pinter and I found it accessible, I've subsequently found other plays harder to understand. Of course I might well have missed things but it didn't influence my enjoyment and by no means put me off Pinter. I find Pinter somewhat freeing now, if I don't understand it all I think 'it's ok, it's Pinter, there probably isn't any one meaning or interpretation'.

Will be interesting who will be the other two actors joining TH. I have seen one production of Betrayal so far at The Crucible in Sheffield and I cannot remember that much except that I really liked it and John Simm was absolutely fantastic as Jerry.

I think it tells you what people really want to see for £100 a ticket, which is not quite the same thing. |

Does anybody on this board have experience with the priority sale?
It says:
„General on-sale is 9am Friday 30 November, with priority on-sale to all previous The Jamie Lloyd Company ticket bookers, Ambassador Theatre Group Theatre Card members and Pinter at the Pinter ticket holders at 9am Thursday 29 November.“
I get the first two, but what exactly does „Pinter at the Pinter ticket holders“ mean? Do I qualify if I’ve got a ticket for Pinter 3 in two weeks for example? How do they check this? Or is there something like a season ticket? I‘m a little confused by this.

In my job it is impossible to purchase tickets at the time they go on sale, which means I usually miss out on the popular stuff.
But, do you know what? For some reason my school has returned to the 1970s and declared November 30 an...........

Do you remember the 1998 Trevor Nunn production at NT where the set was based on the Rachel Whiteread sculpture "House" and was a cast of the rooms giving an inverse image of them, mirroring the reversed timeline of the play.

Please please please let me get tickets for this. Even after someone elsewhere spotted the Pinter and 'Betrayal' connection I wasn't expecting it to be announced so soon and had a mild panic this morning when I saw 'Hiddleston' and 'theatre' in the same sentence and thought I'd missed yet more Hiddles tickets by minutes.

Don't panic - this should be a lot easier to get tickets for than anything else recently, as it's a 3 month run in a medium-sized theatre. There will almost certainly be some form of day seat or TodayTix rush/lotto as a fall-back option.
I wouldn't rule out an NT live broadcast, either, considering the fancy way they are already marketing it.

oh damn i have no luck seeing my fave actors on stage - last time Tom Hiddleston played at the Rada, i had my flight back home 1 day before the 1st show, last summer Orlando Bloom took a week of holiday just during my London visit and now next year i booked a London trip and will leave London on march 3rd, and they start the week after that  |
