No. Mischief have never done day seats for any of their shows, as far as I can recall.

No. Mischief have never done day seats for any of their shows, as far as I can recall. I got a front stalls seat for Play That Goes Wrong on the day on a Sunday at a 'Sunday Saver' price on the Nimax website. Does that same offer happen on Magic?

Hooted with laughter at this tonight, especially the dead doves act. {Spoiler - click to view} Was ‘sugar glass’ a heckle or a plant? Hard to tell with Mischief!

What is the view like from row A of the grand circle for this?
Same price as further back in the grand, which friends have noted feels removed from the action for this production.

I don't recall hearing that either of the 2 times I've seen the full show so I'd guess a genuine heckle, unless it's something they've added in as the run as progressed.

There was a slightly noisy (but good-natured) bunch in at the back, so it might have been a witty heckle. I wondered if it was, because the guy doing the filming was grinning madly and even the Mind Mangler smiled before responding with, “It’s not, it’s real - I’ll throw it at you if you like!” But then the pair of them might have been smiling even if it was a plant, I guess!

From the Six thread, it looks like it is replacing Magic Goes Wrong.
Is this moving theatres?

I’m tempted to go see this at the Curve theatre next week, there’s loads of tickets left so does anyone know if the curve does like a discount on the day, like rush tickets ? www.curveonline.co.uk/whats-on/shows/magic-goes-wrong/or should I just go for it and pay full price Thanks

Have we had confirmation yet if its the original Mischief group reopening the show at the Apollo or if it'll be a different cast?
Interesting that they were all leaving it around the time of the first lockdown, so my suspicion was they had all performed their last and they'd all be in full production mode for Goes Wrong Show by now (if they haven't already wrapped that and it entirely passed me by).

danielwhit No, they've not yet announced the cast for when MGW re-opens. I can think of both pros and cons for either resuming with the original cast for a short time before moving on to a new cast or starting right away with a new cast, so it'll be interesting to see which option they go for. I think they've finished filming the second series of The Goes Wrong show, as they started doing it in March.

Just back from the show at the Lowry tonight ( no thanks to every road in manchester being reduced to one lane, and cricket and football). I enjoyed it very much, but found it more clever than hysytericaly funny - a lot fell flat, but it's certainly a big production, with the stage management working their socks off with all the props and sets. Of course the idea of accurately sending up magic shows and in the process doing some very dazzling magic is clever. some great disappearing tricks and sawing in half, and good running gags but I just didn't come out as giddy as I did from Play.

Yeah, it is aiming for a different atmosphere than Play or Pan, for sure.

Great night at the Liverpool Empire tonight. Grabbed a front row seat for £17.50 and what a bargain it was. A great cast and after seeing the show in preview in Salford 2 years ago, it is still as entertaining now as it was then. Some great magic on show with plenty of audience participation as well from tonight’s lively audience.

Tonight's show at Liverpool Empire cancelled "due to extreme weather conditions" Not sure how that impacts on an indoor show? /

Tonight's show at Liverpool Empire cancelled "due to extreme weather conditions" Not sure how that impacts on an indoor show? / I live on Merseyside and am somewhat confused as to what extreme weather conditions we have apparently been facing! At least not too many people will be inconvenienced. I had a look at availability for tonight earlier and the circle was closed and stalls largely empty.
