Is it really? That's a shame.
Was hoping to get one online. Seems not.

Day seat/lottery thing though. 15 seats at £15 every performance... tickets released at the Box Office 2 hours prior to curtain up for each performance. I like this better than the 9:30/10am calls. Least you don't have to get up and out early. Most likely to be very popular and tough competition.

Just watched the draw live on Instagram and only a handful of people there. Looks like you stand a very good chance of winning. Compared to the London draw when there can literally be hundreds there.

Oh Manchester love a good bargain alright, once word is out and the reviews from Press night emerge people will start their flocking. I'd completely forgotten about this and I'd like to think I vaguely have my finger on the pulse.

Bad timing being middle of exam season?

Is there an age restriction for the book of mormon? what minimum age do you think will be suitable for this?

A very tight preview this evening at Manchester Palace. Hugely energetic and slick performance of a show that’s better than I remember. No expense spared on this production. Clay & Pierson were faultless as the leads. My only reservation is the same issue I had with the London production, the sound design. Too much vocal and not enough band. The volume is there but some songs lack a little atmosphere as the band tinkle away below ear piercing vocals. I’d say I’d expect this to even out into the run but it’s exactly as I remember in London. Shame. Show down at 22:00 on the nose. A fairly solid 4 stars.

Just picked up front stalls for this week at the side for £13! Three of us going but we’re in singles close together. An absolute bargain. Says view might be partially restricted but for this price who cares?!

Pleased to have taught the tour yesterday in Manchester. Central Row E, in what I assume would usually be a premium seat. A bargain with the single theatregoer offer.
It does seem slightly mad to go to Manchester when I can just attend the London production, particularly as it's identical, but the location was only a detour from somewhere I already had to be. And it's interesting to see a completely different cast take on the role.
This attracted a generally young audience, with a few senior members, not many aged in between. Seemed full, although there were a surprising number of latecomers and the venue was doing a great trade in popcorn buckets for the second half! It's not as comfortable a theatre as in London, but that's to be expected.
The two leads are new to the UK, but they've been playing the roles for a long time in the States. Both very good. Kevin Clay played Elder Price quite camp, but that works here. Connor Peirson takes a lot of the Elder Cunningham notes low. Round of applause in Manchester for the Nigel Farage gag.
What really struck me with this one is how young most of the cast were. Looks like they've picked a lot of actors straight after graduation. They all synchronised together well.
I think the highlight was Nicole-Lily Baisden as Nabulungi in her first professional role after graduating from ArtsEd. Beautiful voice.
There's no real need to catch the tour if you can see this in London. But if you're near Manchester, it's worth watching. Everything is already there at the same professional level.

The casting of this production reminds me a LOT of the original casting for the Chicago sit-down (now the current US tour). It launched in late 2012 and I'd say half to 3/4 of the cast had graduated in 2011 or 2012. They were SUPER young, and it showed — in mostly good ways.

The language and themes are very adult and I am no prude but teenagers these days hear a lot worse anyway, agree with the poster who said 15 although my 13 year old would probably find it hilarious!

Had hoped the stalls front row would be £13 as with Mamma Mia at Bristol but not to be. £47.50 and not even the usual senior matinee discount. I'm passing for now.
