I'm getting married in February and I have every intention of sneaking in musicals references into my wedding favours.
For one, I'm making my own wine so would like a little phrase to put on the label...
The only song I can think of is 'drink with me'. But I've gone completely blank to others.
Can you give me your favourite musical theatre song that mentions wine?

"No song unsung, no wine untasted" I'm sure you know that one!
The only other wine reference I can think of is a depressing one: "You pour yourself a pinot, Clos Du Val, two thousand three" - If Then

"Hand me the wine and the dice" from Aspects of Love?
Although as this is sung at a wake it might not be totally relevant...

I'm sure there's so many that I'll know and kick myself when they're mentioned but I went completely blank! Thank you 😊

From JCS - The Last Supper: "Look at all my trials and tribulations Sinking in a gentle pool of wine"
"For all you care this wine could be my blood"
Hmm maybe not too appropriate for a wedding!

Off the top of my head, there’s the line ‘Wind and beer!” from La vie Bohem in Rent.
There’s also a line in one of the songs in the musical Nine

There’s “Drink! Drink! Drink your glass of vino!” in the Piccolino from ‘Top Hat’ - I only know that because I’m in a production of it this week! 🎩

Mistletoe And Wine - probably only useful if you're having a December wedding.

'A Case of You' by Joni Mitchell, although not from a musical, is one of the best songs ever written

Practically all of this one from Frogs.
Out of wine comes truth, Out of truth the vision clears, And with vision soon appears A grand design. From the grand design You can understand the world. And when you understand the world, You need a lot more wine.
Wine makes the passions sing, Wine leads the feet to dance, Wine answers every question. Pour the wine! Wine takes away the sting, Wine gives the heart its chance, Wine aids the indigestion. Pour the wine!
See the curmudgeon smile, Hear the insomniac snore, Look at the coward roar, All from the vine. Pour the wine! Wine lends a sense of style, Wine gets the spirit to soar, Wine makes you thirsty -- pour more wine! More Wine!
Wine helps the edges blur, Wine lets the mind escape, Wine settles all dissension. Pour the wine! Wine makes the blood to stir, Wine leads to friendly rape, Wine eases tension -- What an invention Is wine! Pour the wine! Glory be to wine!
And How does the Wine Taste from We Take The Town.
How does the wine taste? Does it stain your lips? What is the fruit-like? Just beyond my finger tips?
Just out of reach, I see so much I cannot taste and mustn't touch Tied to my little world My safe little world
What would it be like If I broke the string? Would it be lovely And a little frightening?
There is so much I've never understood How does the wine taste? Is it good?
How does the wine taste? Does it make you glow? How does the wine taste? How does the wine taste? How does the wine taste? I think I know
