“Just a notion” now released. A fun uptempo number unreleased from 1978.

Quite a nice dancy song, or in my case moving head from side to side in time to the music.

Not as good as the two already released, but then again Don't Shut Me Down took a few listens for me to love it.

This one interview has already spawned articles and headlines in papers world-wide since it's online release midweek.
With journalist Alexis Petridis who is the guardian music writer and it's shows in an insightful and informative article which Benny and Bjorn have responded to the more music based approach.
As for sales, with universal their UK record company reporting the highest ever preorder volumes after a week, and the worldwide resurgence in sales and streaming of all the back catalogue I should imagine they are pretty happy with how things are.
Along with the arena adding another three months of performance and the over whelming and positive response to the September 2nd announcements it's a remarkable achievement and one shared worldwide.

The voyage has begun early it seems some CDs and vinyl is being sent out and some pictures of the actual items are popping up on the web so chance we get to hear the new music soon.
Seems there is a sticker on the front of the items to remind people that it's the first ABBA studio album for 40 years which is leading to a lot of web comments that most fans were at school when the last studio LP came out, and a whole generation of fans for whom this will be the first studio ABBA album to be released in their lifetime.
Still getting over the fact instead of just getting the black vinyl album from Woolworths I seem to have ordered several coloured vinyl versions, picture discs, cds in different covers and in a rash moment a cassette version. The wonders of this time having a credit card and not having to ask dad for an advance on pocket money!
Now just need to hope someone buys me a record player and cassette player for Christmas.

Beginning to get way more hyped up and excited for this album release and hearing new ABBA music than I expected to be.
Very distracting especially since they have just released the new trailer for the next ticket release.
Very short but stunning, showing the Abbatars in the lightsuits and then a tiny glimpse of them in new costumes and performing with an amazing light show and effects. With the live band playing, the lighting and purpose built arena designed to fully immerse the audience in the show this really is looking to be an amazing event.
Using phone and cannot add link it seems but we'll worth checking YouTube clip under ABBA voyage

I was going to wait for the CD but I couldn't resist, I listened to the album on YouTube. Glorious. Benny and Bjorn have still got it. I adore their Christmas song Little Things, that will become a festive favourite.

There's normally one track on an Abba album that I can't stand. Voyage hasn't provided one so far. My only complaint is that quite a few tracks are too short and would have benefited from another chorus, and Benny is guilty of overuse of the old glockenspiel!

There is never enough in modern music! Thankfully Sam Fender has picked up the baton with his use of a xylophone patch in lots of his stuff.

I'm all in favour of tuned percussion, but a bit of variety is good and Glockenspiel can lead to sugar overload.

ABBA's last studio album was among the first to be issued on CD ( the Visitors used digital recording techniques and was used to test prototype CDs before they were launched commercially), and Voyage is the fastest selling Vinyl release of the 21st century. (And could well be the biggest selling cassette too). Time warp?

Four hours of ABBA on BBC 2 Saturday starting from 8, repeats of previous shown programs but the ABBA at the BBC has some good clips from when they did top of the pops in person rather than video
And at 11 it's ABBA in Switzerland from 1979 which hopefully is the full program which I have not seen in full since its first showing.so it should include guest Kate Bush along with Bjorn and Benny's Long intro, (who's voice is amazing, who looks are amazing, who dancing is amazing, is it a tree no it's a bush ladies and gentlemen Kate Bush) will see tomorrow how much of that intro I remembered correctly. Think she does wow in a purple dress, by then I had become a fan of hers and forgiven her for knocking ABBA and take a chance on me off number one with wuthering heights in 78.
I would also say it's the only chance to hear the different intro to does your mother know but that might make me sound bit obsessive, but the nice thing about this thread is seeing many of the board members are out ABBA fans as well!

An enjoyable evenings entertainment, but I would have loved to have heard all of those Voulez Vous songs performed live on the Switzerland thing.

Just issued on the voyage site Christmas merchandise to go with the new single little things out December 3rd.
Must admit after years of very little merchandise it looks like it will be an avalanche of stuff by the time the arena opens
Unfortunately some of the items are limited numbers - the socks to 200 pairs worldwide and the abba puzzle if the little things cover at £25 is limited to 500 worldwide.
They must have seen the eBay market for the limited vinyls they did and I expect most of these will be grabbed by resellers rather than fans.
You will be glad to know the abba Christmas jumper at £80 is unlimited it seems.
With the visitors album 40th anniversary issues to come by the end of the month I think I am spending all that money saved in the 40 years ABBA were not an active group in three months.
