So La Streisand has a new album out in November. I am sure one or two members will be getting a copy. A link to Barbra's note on the album. barbrastreisand.com/walls/

Fab. Can't wait. You know Barbra means business when she gets the crimping irons out.

Totally read that as Barbra Streisand Wails.
Now having read her description of it, I’m thinking it might have been a better title.

Don't Lie To Me is one of the most interesting songs she's recorded in decades. Not sure I could take a whole album of Babs Protests Too Much though. At least she's back with some original material.

I thought she was endorsing ice-cream. Recorded in Argentina, presumably... Tax.............Nope, on second thoughts.... that's not impressed me at all.

The single/first song is interesting, but her vocals now - and her vocal style - just don’t suit the music. She still has the power in her voice, but I’m not sure she’s ready to accept her lower register’s limitations.

Could well be the last chance to see her performing live in the UK given her concert dates are now rare and her advancing years. It will be interesting to see what sort of special guests she pulls in.

I didn't even know. Also didn't know ceefax still existed. I love a bit of Babs but I'm not standing for hours (probably in the rain) even for her.

the more stereotyped gay gentlemen on here melted down at the news of Barbra Streisand being announced for BST in Hyde Park? Well, I'm melting down and I'm neither gay nor a gentleman. Unfortunately though, what's causing the melting is the idea of being hemmed into a giant crowd in Hyde Park and being unable to see a diva dot over everyone's heads. I'm seriously disappointed as I've never seen her, but this doesn't do it for me. Avatar changed in honour. She's still going to play me when they do the biopic of my life.

Yes am currently deciding whether to go or not as I love Barbra and have seen each of her tours since the 1990's but I HATE these outdoors concerts at huge venues where you really end up looking at the screen all night. Will probably be the last time she comes to the UK as I know she has said previously that she would not be touring again.

No doubt there will be a golden circle and other areas at the front so you can get a very good view... at a price.

The Celine prices for the Gold circle are 186, Summer Garden 252, Terrace 325 and Diamond circle 325. Normal entry is 90 and primary entry is 100. Guess Barbra will be similar prices. Less than some of her previous concerts but this one is a much bigger audience.

Tell you what, Tibidabo, you buy the tickets, and I'll let you sit on my broad northern shoulders. 🙂 No flashing like last time, though!

I told you before TallPaul. That was hardly my fault. You promised you'd secured that ferret down your trousers. Gave me a right old fright...😱

Well they kept that quiet!!!
Will this be the largest live audience she's had since Central Park in 68?
Unfortunately I've already gone for a diamond circle ticket to Celine so I can't afford another bank busting event. Wonder how much the tickets will be?

Of course you can always save the ticket money and crush by just relaxing in the park outside the arena - you still hear it all live and if you're going to watch screens anyway why not just buy the dvd (if one's released) and get away before the crowd so you get a seat on the bus/tube!

In relented and just bought a general admission ticket when I saw the early presale price. £157 for 2 tickets is less than I expected so booked and booked our accommodation. In London for 1st to 3rd July and now back for 7th to 8th! Decided I couldn't miss what may be her last UK show, even if I have to rely on a screen!
As a postscript it was one of the easiest tickets to book, no endless waiting like Les Mis and Dear Evan Hansen. Guess not too many knew about the first presale.
