Well. Innit gawgeous? For those who realise that there's life outside of London will be thrilled no doubt to see the stunning transformation of the Bristol Old Vic, the oldest continuously working theatre in the English speaking world. And it's not in London! It's cost the GDP of a small principality to do but it looks heartstoppingly gorgeous in the end AND you get to see part of the original auditorium facade from 1766 in a stunning atrium. Danny Day-Lewis once called it "the most beautiful theatre in England". He's quite right of course. I've Never Had Any Work Done Darling

I love the Bristol Old Vic and sincerely wish it were more practical for me to get over there more often. There's a nice little pocket of great theatre in the West Country.

It's a beaut that's for sure. Well worth the trip over the (Servern) Bridge to old Brizzle. Who also have a lovely suspension bridge.

Who also have a lovely suspension bridge. Oooh, oooh, oooh! The Clifton Suspension Bridge is one of the most gorgeous bridges in the world. I used to live right next to it when I lived in Bristol. It was (almost) the first thing I saw when I woke up in the morning!

You should give me a tour of your old haunts some time (actually, I'm a bit scared...)

I often contemplate making the leap over the bridge (not off it) and moving there. If I ever do I'll solicit your insight...

Massive suicide spot too! In other news, seems odd that there was no news of a new season announcement to go with the unveiling? It looks lovely i agree, just needs some good programming.
