I’m still eagerly awaiting the cast recording. I’ve checked Spotify most days since April!

^Re-arrange these words into a well known phrase or saying: "time, frigging, about." A missed opportunity if you ask me. Especially as they are adding new numbers to the show which I assume they will use to sell the old recording alongside. It was recorded in enough advance for them to have capitalised on the audiences seeing the show whilst at the Phoenix.

Based on the video that went on twitter last night, looks like (fingers crossed) casting should be announced this coming week. Also, for the tour, I think one of the new songs that will be added was the foundation that inspired Kilimanjaro. For anyone who hasn't seen the video, this song (which wasn't in the West End production) focuses on how the girls all became friends and specifically it was a joke in school about Kilimanjaro that led to Chris and Annie becoming friends. Tim Firth explains this a lot better in the video, but the lyrics to the song sound quite fun. And, also, I think a song about how the girls all became friends is needed because whilst the bond between Chris and Annie is obvious, I was less sure about how as a group they came together - especially Celia, I could never work out whether she grew up in the area or moved to the area with Dennis (because they met London to Hong Kong first class when she was an air stewardess). And the cast recording will have a few bonus tracks (Gary singing). I think one of them is a Joanna/Gary 'Scarborough Duet'. For a final point, as the show is now 'Calendar Girls the Musical', should this thread be re-titled?

Do touring musicals normally de Montfort Hall over the Curve? From google images, it would look like a hard space to fit a musical in.

Gosh. A tour. I wonder who gets the job of looking after the tumbleweed every night? Does it get its own bus?

I much prefer Curve for musicals. DMH is far better suited to concerts and comedy.

I very much enjoyed this song and the show itself, but how on earth can it be a "number one best selling album" when it hasn't even been released yet 🤔🤔

Let the cast sing!

Because he's more recognisable. Click bait and all that. Looking forward to the album!

It actually does get its own bus; a guy is employed to drive one round with a sign on the side to promote. He's doing the Band Tour now. Maybe they can get a board with both on to save time?!

Gary has become more and more unlikeable as the years have gone on. From his attempt at X Factor to his overshadowing of the actual musical. He is more just an annoyance now. And the pisstake is (I haven't yet seen The Band) but Finding Neverland was his best work in my opinion and there is little chance of thst happening now because of f***ing Weinstein.

Calendar Girls The Musical sounds heat, I wonder if it gets a West End transfer?
The Phoenix would be a great theatre.

You may not like him but I don't think he's ever been so popular! His tour tickets flew out the door in seconds and he has discovered healthy living and ia sharing recipes, videos and exercise moves everyday as part of "Barlow's Bootcamp" (I'm not even making his up!) leading to his summer tour and enjoy a part biography/lifestyle book in the Autumn.
