It's so bright it may actually draw attention away from the outside of the Palace Theatre, a place thwt, since Harry Potter opened, has become a social media favourite! Isn't the Palace just a normal marquee though along with some Harry Potter features? No, they've added ornate 'Hogwarts' lamps and the beautiful nest with the child inside! Also, it's a big Harry Potter sign...tourists will take pictures of anything. Back to topic, I rather like the sunflowers!

Isn't the Palace just a normal marquee though along with some Harry Potter features? I reallt like the Palace one, its very fitting, and actually not too much to take away from the actual theatre itself. Just some Hogwarts lanterns or lamps and a huge nest with a child inside of it and the big Harry Potter name over the front of it. It is actuslly a really beautiful design overall. No bright colours or anything. You would think they would of gone over the top, but they really haven't. With the social media aspect, any time you walk past it these days, there are about 20 or 30 people taking pictures outside of it every time. There are thousands of Instagram pictures outside of it, people who probably haven't even seen the show yet!

The 6000 more flowers are being put on the front of the theatre. Great.

The 6000 more flowers are being put on the front of the theatre. Great. If they are being put on where the pillars are though, where is there room? My best bet would be on the side of the theatre (above the shops) in those windows maybe?

Thats what I think it will be, if you look at the very top of the picture, the windows about the main sign also have flowers in the window, so I imagine it will be that! One thing, are they material flowers? Or just plastic onces that don't move? Surely if there is a strong gust of wind some of them are gonna fly off if they are material, and if they are material and it rains, won't they go all funny and off-colour? Not trying to be shady, just curious.

Either that or theatrelover has launched daring late night raids so they can decorate the front of their home with them

God this looks cheap. I walked by yesterday and my thought was 'this is actually worse than Bend it Like Beckham's marquee...' and that one was HORRENDOUS!!!

Im puzzled as to how chucking a load of sunflowers at a building can be seen as amazing or imaginative

The one in front of the Phoenix entrance is nice but they went overboard with the sunflowers especially on the signage on the pillars.

I like the actual signage above the doors, its that stupid wall of sunflowers that is the problem, who is their designer and what was he/she/it thinking?!

Lots of availability I notice for this show.....the previews are far from sold out. Thinking of bagging a cheap ticket but I fear it's not really going to appeal.

Im sure someone said on here a couple of weeks back that the advance was brilliant (they may have blown it all on sunflowers though)
I will check it out if i can get cheap tickets but i fear it will be a wasted slot

Just to get the idea out of heads following the Wicked drama the other night, none of the comments removed were mine haha. I don't want people thinking I am the one causing the shady-ness. 😂😂
