Ed Hall has announced he is stepping down as artistic director of Hampstead Theatre after 9 years. Considering that Hampstead Theatre was in dire straits when he took over, he’s done a great job reviving their fortunes with various shows like iHo, Sunny Afternoon to name but a few but also things like Hampstead Downstairs
It’ll be interesting who they have in mind for his successor.

I'll miss his stroppy press releases every time their arts council funding gets cut for not doing what they were advised they should do in the previous funding round

It can't be that hard can it? Put on a few plays, have Will Mortimer round for a gin and tonic once a week, make sure the old folk are happy and have a sausage roll every now and again. I'll do it while I'm waiting for The Nash to get rid of Rufus.
