My friends and I picked up some tix in the sale, going Saturday 8 Feb matinee. Gavin and Sara are scheduled to do every performance (barring illness) I assume?

Saw the show tonight and wow Desi is phenomenal isn't she? She's got such a gorgeous, easy lilt to her voice that just glides through the songs. I really like how she plays Jenna quite standoffish and headstrong- don't get me wrong I love Lucie but she does seem to smile and laugh a lot even at inappropriate times. Desi's approach made it a lot more emotional when she finally let herself lose control in SUTBM.
Massive kudos to her- she didn't miss a beat and I know she's been playing it all week but before that she'd done a whole different musical between her Jenna stint, incredible.
I've now seen Lucie, Olivia and Desi- have tickets booked for Sara's opening night and would love to catch Sarah before it closes for an even five. What a wonderfully talented group of women x

Wow we had sassy Jenna tonight! Very different from when I saw Desi on Monday when she must have been out of her mind with tiredness. I loved her even more today and although I‘m usually the person going on about how I often love understudies/stand bys more than principles, I think tonight the show benefitted from having the main cast on stage which was not the case on Monday.
It also only occurred to me today but how was Desi able to come over here to work so quickly? Surely that requires a visa unless she has an EU passport?

The pedant in me wants to say ‘wouldn’t she still need a visa to work in a diner’, but thankfully I’ve been able to stop myself. 😅

Already got stalls for their run in the GILT sale but thought I’d probably like to see Sara twice so picked up a £15 Row O dress for the last week of their run. What week is that? I booked for March 3rd simply cause thats when i'm next free and i *think* they're both still on then? DID I d my maths correctly...? lol

Poor Desi. She went to see the show tonight from the audience, was prepared for a relaxing day, had a glass of prosecco and suddenly she's thrown in mid-show to play Jenna for Act 2. Don't know what happened to Lucie or why Olivia couldn't do it but she really saved the day once again.

I guess it sort of makes sense- why take someone out of the ensemble to then have to put a swing on in their place as well if you have essentially got a Jenna standby in the building. Bless Desi though, she deserves some sort of plaque in the building after this week. Does anyone know if she was supposed to return to the US soon or if she's still on hold?

Because swings are backstage waiting while Desi had just posted this: The irony of it all.

Lucie probably wasn't ready to come back into the show, health-wise. Probably needs more time off.
The Weisslers are getting their money's worth with Desi...that's for sure...

Maybe it was a case of them asking her to stay on thro Monday just in case Lucie wasn’t better so she went to the show to watch and as it happened she was called on? I don’t know the logistics of why Olivia didn’t go on though seeing as she’s better and the Jenna understudy, unless they’re low on ensemble members too because Sarah is on holiday?

I suspect Desi is on tonight too as she’s in an IG story Marisha filmed with a few others backstage.

There is an alliance with British Equity and American Equity so British Equity was probably able to get a wavier for Desi to come over. Its the same producers as Chicago so perhaps they will get a British star like Bonnie or DVO to come over and do a stint as Desi's "exchange" in Chicago. They are always bringing in international stars to Chicago on Broadway anyway.

Unsure if Lucie will be back for Saturday. Seems silly to try and rush back and potentially do more harm to herself, so it’d make sense for Desi to do the rest of the week, now she’s here. Although more expensive for Waitress!

If Lucie does feel ready to be back for Saturday I'm thinking she will only do the evening show just for precaution, with Desi doing the matinee of course.

Sara’s performance is getting a lot of praise on Twitter!
And her version of ‘She Used to be Mine’ is now at no. 8 in the UK charts!! So will more than likely be played on a few radio stations this weekend covering the charts!
This might give the show a final drive towards the finish line!

Was at Sara's first show last night and wow wow wow.
Firstly, the audience was like none I've ever experienced at this show (even more so than Broadway). Huge cheers and applause after every song, Sara got a standing ovation for SUTBM (which was an absolute masterclass) and the entire theatre was on their feet by the first ensemble bow.
Sara and Gavin were clearly having a ball together, and even broke a couple times which led to huge amusement from the audience.
Beautiful performances from Sara, Gavin and Evelyn, show is on top form.
Stage door queue stretched right down the end of the block, lots of security who were discouraging photos.

Hoping Sara & Gavin are here to film the show, sounds like a Kinky Boots-like situation (both Broadway&London productions close, 'special' cast is coming for a limited time, etc)

Sara has definitely had a positive effect on tickets sales 👍 - looks like everyone’s been holding out this year until she started. Saturday’s shows will probs be sold out, and not sure it’s been fully sold out since Kat’s last show any maybe one of Joe’s??

There were quite a few empty seats at Saturday’s cast change.

If possibly having 2 performances sold out on a saturday, is a positive effect on the box office, then Waitress is in big trouble.

We must be getting close to full tour details being released. Tickets for Leeds Grand were advertised as going on general sale this coming Monday, but it now seems that is not the case. "Please note that the previously advertised on sale date has now changed. We’ll let you know when you can treat yourself to a slice of 5 star musical pie!"
Presented by David Ian Productions Ltd.
ETA: When, or if, tickets do go on sale, it's due to run in Leeds from 18 to 22 August...straight after Les Miserables, and just before Beautiful.
