Just remembered that some people said the cast were all on initial 6-month contracts back when the show opened and Saturday was almost exactly 6 months since the first preview so seeing as no one left except Shaun I'd guess the rest of the cast now have extended contracts through January? I remember Marisha saying in an insta-live that her contract was until September (I think) and she didn't know if she would extend. But that was a few months ago and at that point she was in discussions to play the role on Broadway (it was before the announcement that the show is closing).

I’ve been wanting to see the show for a while so a big thanks to @theatremonkey for the info on your site for the ticket offer in September. I’ve managed to nab the A33 Dress Circle seat for £20 for a Wednesday night as part of a WE theatre week I am currently finalising for the end of September. The savings made will be going in purchasing some of the 🥧 that are on sale (well it would rude not to).

Totally different tracklist I should imagine - as the new album is full of previously unheard music.

Am also going to London to see Waitress with my brother and am holding out on buying tickets. Thanks!

Does Lucie do all 8 shows for this, or is it one of those leads where they have an alternate do a couple of shows per week? I'm seeing the matinee tomorrow and know nothing about the show so I'm going into it it blind.

Oh I didn’t realise Marisha was in discussions to play Becky on Broadway recently ... I think it’d be cool if she got to do that because she was so close to getting the role to replace Keala. Although it is great having her here in the UK 🙌

I wanted a cheap seat for this so thanks to theatremonkey’s great website, I took a punt on W33 for £24. Fantastic clear view, was very impressed with the seat. 😊. It also didn’t feel too far from the action.

Has anyone sat on the front row for this? I sat front row for one show and it wasn’t really for me because the stage was just so high I thought! Obviously the view was really good because most of the action is at the front of the stage, but because I’m not the tallest (5’5”) I did struggle to see stuff at the back and feet were cut off. Didn’t stop me enjoying the show but I just wouldn’t choose to sit front row again .... if that helps!

Seems to be rumours on social media that Joe Sugg will be the latest Waitress stunt casting, I assume as Ogie?! No idea if he can sing or act, but what I will say is that I’ll bet the reaction to him joining will be positive compared to the negative reaction to Ashley joining, even though they seem to have largely the same skillsets 🤷♀️

I guess I need to go soon to get this sweet spot of talent since they seem determined to have at least one stunt casted role from an under qualified performer at a time.

I think he’ll experience a similar backlash. He’s no actor - and even seems awkward as a presenter. This may be part of his charm on YouTube but on tv I don’t think he’s exactly shone. I suppose he has a following but it would be panto casting to me.

He has a huge following of teens, the audience that Waitress seem to be trying to attract.
I think getting him in would be a huge success for them.

Haven't heard him sing, but he certainly had stage presence on the Strictly tour.

That’s exactly what I was thinking and if he did get cast then the show will do really well from his following and it will get more people into musical theatre! And waitress is a really nice first show

He hasn't even been announced yet and there's already drama online with fans worried about what stage door will be like if he comes in.
Newsflash... stage door is not the personal property of the self appointed few. Anyone can go along should they wish!
