Email from ATG has come round offering free upgrades to the next ticket price band, so guess they’re finally discounting. Anybody got a link for this- I can't find a trace of it in my inbox and junk!

I think this depersonalised link should work (but am on my phone so can’t test properly): tickets.lwtheatres.co.uk/en-GB/shows/waitress/events?promo=WaitressATG

Well, I've had no emails whatsoever showing any offers, and I'm signed up to every theatre and box office site known to man, so thank you Dr Tom for this link.

Well, I have to say I really enjoyed this. Loved Katharine McPhee this evening, along with Marisha Wallace who was the stand out for me. It was nice just to be taken out of the real world for the evening and into this story.
She used to be Mine was the highlight but my criticism would be that I wanted more from it - it seemed to build to nothing?

They should start advertising Waitress - and all west end shows really - as a current escape from real world Brexit misery! 😄😭 Marisha on her insta stories said there’s 17 days to go until her Cost Rica / NYC holiday, so if people want to see her specifically in the show take that into account 👍 Not sure how long she’s on hol for.

Haha they actually should - granted I had had a few glasses of wine (but I did not show anything to be posted in the bad behaviour thread may I add!!), I just came out smiling and happy for a couple of hours of escapism from everyday life. Upper circle which we booked for was closed and we were upgraded to excellent seats in the dress - only paid £20. Good for me, probably not much, unfortunately, for the show.

Does anyone else think they massively overpriced this show and it would be better suited in a smaller venue?

Does anyone else think they massively overpriced this show and it would be better suited in a smaller venue? Completely Agree with your comment but the overpricing part applies to virtually every show In the west end and upcoming. If Waitress was priced at £50 All Stalls and Dress Circle seats and £25 All Upper Circle I believe it would be sold out a large proportion of the time and Box Office Revenue would be higher than it currently is.

^Yes, but the show wouldn't be able to continue as it wouldn't cover its costs... Asking as someone who genuinely doesn't know how much it costs to run Waitress, or any other show, weekly - would £533,000 (Assuming full to capacity for all 8 performances) not cover the costs. (My example of £50/£25 was just a figure plucked from thin air e.g. £60/£30 would increase revenue by £

This is why I’ve always loved the show from the first time I saw it on broadway - I can relate to it and it just puts a smile on my face.

Wouldn't it make more sense to leave the people who have bought the cheap tickets for £20 where they are instead of upgrading them to the expensive stalls seats and then rather selling the empty stalls tickets through £25 Rush tickets? That way they get more people through the door?

I’ve heard rumours of Wembley... Is this necessary? Bat wasn't exactly a sold-out hit either Well: i) it was a joke, a bit of light hearted banter in keeping with the rest of the conversation. Ii) we’re not talking about Bat, it doesn’t exist any more. Would you compare it to Bat if it wasn’t my avatar?
