Why is Nicole Dennis NOT covering Becky? Makes no sense... Guessing because she’s too young/reads as too young. It's a shame for her though. I'm surprised she went for this ensemble role given she's just come off the back on playing Effie fairly regularly and getting the exposure of The Voice. It seems a bit of a waste.

Seeing this on the 23rd, really pleased the reviews from the first preview are positive! Starting to really look forward to this now and, £6 or not,I’m def having a pie! I'm going on the 23rd as well! I'm going to the matinee and will most definitely be having a pie! I'm also going to the matinee on the 23rd, see you in the queue for the pies!! Definitely doing it.

There seems to be more talk of the pies in this thread than the show itself lol. Not surprised the flavours are a little more traditionally British than those offered when I saw it on Broadway, but a little disappointed there’s no key-lime! Speaking of which, I have a voucher for free pie can anyone tell me if you can just show it on your phone to redeem or do you have to print it off and actually hand the voucher over? It was unclear in the email. xx

Had the absolute pleasure of seeing this last night. Had listened to the soundtrack a few times but had avoided much else. Yes I purchased a pie - though actually yet to eat it. What can I say I am a consumers dream and felt like it just needed to be done. Word of advice for anyone who has the voucher for a free one. Sorry I don’t know if you need to have the actual voucher or not, however I do know that you can only claim it from the pie counter in the main foyer and not upstairs. I was in the dress circle and experienced many people being informed this once they had already got upstairs. As for the show, I absolutely loved it. For a first preview it seemed pretty much flawless. Anyone who had/has any concerns regarding MCPhee I believe need not worry - I thought she was sensational in both acting and voice. Her “Used to be mine” was stunning and even wasn’t a standing ovation in the stalls and a very long applause (I fully appreciate that it being the first preview was part of this) but I genuinely thought she was fantastic and very pleased to have seen her. The rest of the cast is also excellent. My only disappointment was Jack McBrayer as Ogie - yes he absolutely nails the comedy and is adorable but a singer he is not and this was a slight let down. I didn’t expect it to be so moving and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. I really hope this finds its place in the WE. Despite its recent announcement of an extension it doesn’t appear to be selling amazingly. Will definitely benefit from the tourist trap and hopefully word of mouth. With the closure if so many feel good shows last month this is very much a welcome addition to London. I’ll be back that’s for sure.

Do we know who makes the mini pies? Surely it’s a local bakery and they are not shipped in from the bakery who makes them in America.

I have to question the validity of a pie in a glass jar. Is that a pie?
Ho yes, I’m very much aware of the trend of serving up everything in kilner jars. I went to an awards do where the pate was in a kilner jar, the pudding, a sort of cheesecake effort was in a kilner jar. I’m sure if they could have squashed the half roast chicken and fondant spuds into one I’d have been presented with that too.
However I have never seen a pie with a crust in a jar. So, what exactly is being served up in the name of pie here? 🥧

Its The Theatre Cafe making the pies and if they’re the same as the Broadway ones they won’t actually be pies just the filling in a jar. I’m seeing the show tonight and just met Katharine when she arrived for the matinee, I needed my Smash CD to be signed by both her and Megan!

Does Katharine go in through the stage door? I might do the same with the playbill from when I saw her on broadway but didn’t get signed. Enjoy the show this evening!! I’m going next Sat and can’t wait

It would be much cheaper, and easier, to take along a tin of Princes Fruit Filling and a spoon! 🍏🍒

Just as long as the pies are not made by Imedia Staunton and Michael Ball from a while back.
They were possible the worst pies in London!!!

Glasses are normally banned in the auditoriums and they ask if you want your drink in a plastic glass to go inside.
I'm wondering if the pies are also decanted into plastic pots?!
😂

So you are getting a jar of apple sauce? I’ve only ever had the cookies and cream one on Broadway and it was just an Oreo mousse type thing.

Between £6 mouses in jars that may/may not be allowed into the auditorium and #KMP being the acronym of the moment, this show is getting more interesting by the second lol.
Had a quick look over the seating plans. Upper Circle well sold next month or so, swathes of availability elsewhere. A disposable income generalisation no doubt but a show that appeals to the young?
