I imagine she knows what her 'fate' in the competition is by now as most of it is all pre-recorded. I could be wrong but this to me indicates she hasn't made the lives, which is a shame as she has a terrific voice! Really confusing as she was just talking with Lorraine and said how she was hoping to break into music with JHud by her side. Odd thing to say if she hasn't made the lives. Not really. That's something you often hear in TV talent show contestants' interviews after they've left the show. I wonder if she dropped out after being offered Waitress? |

How is that going to work with her taking part in The Voice? Unless her being in this cast reveals whether she makes the live shows or not... I started thinking about her as Celie in The Color Purple, but i guess this new role rules that out. Look forward to seeing her in this.Definitely one to watch out for. I suspect she will understudy Marisha Wallace, again? And in the theatre just across the road too! |

I don't know if there are any 30 Rock fans here, but this musical always reminds me of Jenna performing in the musical adaptation of Mystic Pizza.

Why do they need two Lulus? I don't even remember that character, so I doubt it's a demanding role.

This is a small amount, usually most shows have four children rotating in child roles. Kinky, the Adelphi's current show, has four kids for each role.  |

Kids work up chimneys, they should be able to handle 8 shows a week or they should get out of the pool. You want fame? Well, fame costs. And right here is where you start paying... in sweat. |

For me, some of the casting for this show is very odd and quite uninspiring. I don't imagine that Kenneth from 30 Rock will sell more than a handful of tickets, and casting him seems like a misguided act of desperation on the part of the producers. And shouldn't Old Joe be a twinkly old man (not someone like Shaun Prendergast?)

But then again I have no interest in it at all, it seems like such an odd choice for a film to musical adaptation, it's not like Waitress was a runaway blockbuster. |

The annoying thing about it is, when I was younger and did professional panto, I wanted to do more than the shows I was given and knew I could handle it, but they wouldn't let me because of age. It's so frustrating.

Second of all, I believe there's an agreement with Jessie and Betsy for the show artwork, so they've been paid for their face to be licensed as the brand faces for the show. This is why Betsy is all over the US tour playbills, artwork etc. It would cost a lost to re-do the FOH after KMP has done her 3 months or whatever x |

Waitress reeeeally seems to go through Jennas on Broadway, is there a reason for that? I saw the current understudy, Stephanie Torns, when I was there and I feel really awful for her - she keeps covering between other people's runs for a few weeks and I wish they would just bump her up so she can get some recognition for all the work she puts in so they can keep bringing people in for 3 months each....
