I only really know them from Celebrity Pointless, where Richard Osman was on a one-man crusade to get them a knighthood. They made me laugh a lot.
Not sure why, some reason, I had always thought they were father and son.
RIP

Was really sad to hear this.
Have been to watch them many times over the years and were always hugely entertained. Loved the TV show too.

I was very much of the Chuckle Brother's era (Born in the mid 80s) and this made me genuinely sad. Though as I heard the news at the gym, and nearly dropped the weights I was using in supreme comic fashion, I can't help but think he'd be amused.
A whole generation (and beyond) can't move furniture without saying 'To me to you' I'll be giggling with you for years to come Barry.

Such sad news. I’ve always referred to them as my childhood heroes.
Probably some of my first forays into theatres were to see their stage shows. Every summer without fail usually in Blackpool would go to see them. Just dug out the programmes from the early 2000’s. Had planned to make the pilgrimage to Hull for this years panto especially to see that but that sadly won’t be the case now.
RIP Barry! From me to you!

Sad news and whole generations of children were enthralled by them.Their act may have seemed quaint but they had their own TV Shows for nearly 25 years and were still a top Panto Act and with their own touring shows.
Also they worked very hard to get success and it came quite late in life as Barry was in his 40's when they first started on TV.
He always looked a bit frail but that was likely just he was a naturally thin and slight person.
Both brothers had time for their fans and they were literally of all ages. Sadly missed.

Tinchy Stryder’s tribute to the Chuckle Brothers - To Me, To You (Bruv). Apparently he was a big fan.

I wasn't there, but at the Rotherham United versus Ipswich Town match on Saturday, when the clock reached 73 minutes, both sets of fans started chanting "To me, to you".

I wasn't there, but at the Rotherham United versus Ipswich Town match on Saturday, when the clock reached 73 minutes, both sets of fans started chanting "To me, to you". I saw the video footage on tv this morning. What a fantastic tribute by both sets of fans, particularly with Paul Chuckle also being at the game. By his acknowledgment of the chant you could tell it meant a lot to him.

They were big Rotherham fans and Paul spoke about it on This Morning today. They had done a minutes applause before the game but the spontaneous chant by both sets of fans in 73rd minute ( Barry was 73 when he died in case anyone wondered why it was then)was a lovely touch.
