So.... just saying! Again, no pressure! |

I’ll be easy to spot as it’s likely I’ll have a stick with me judging on how this week has been. For what its worth- and for this of you going who haven't met me- my aviator pic is me, so instantly recognisable and my name (actually) is Anthony. Pronounced with the TH, so AnTHony, but as most Brits struggle with that, Antony is fine, or even Ant works.

Well unfortunately we didn't win but I don't think we embarassed the Theatre Board either.
It was a good night and lovely to meet Anthony40 and Dontdreamit.
Darn the winning team with teenage American girls who obviously knew the Mean Girls, Kit Harrington and Broadway questions.
And not a single Sondheim question.......

Did you manage to hoik any of those badges or business cards off to unsuspecting strangers?
I usually leave one on a bar table when I go to the theatre. Like the Milk Tray Man.

So this happened last night and got to meet both alec10 and Dontdreamit who were both very lovey and friendly.
Did we win? No. Did we have fun? Yes
There was most a picture round, which heavily pixilated images.
There was a musical round- for both Broadway and the West End
Also a round on plays and insert the lyric from a selection of multiple choice answers
There was also a raffle whilst the scores were being counted.
(Of the top of my head) some of the questions were as follows:
Name the three actresses playing the lead in Mean Girls on Broadway?
In Dear Evan Hansen, what s the name of the foundation?
There are two versions of The Wild Party- the Andrew Lippa one and name the second
What was the name of the first musical to with a Tony?
Name three stars who have won an Emmy, a Granny, a Tony Award and an Oscar
In Everybody's Talking About Jamie, what is the name that one of the characters gives him?
The musical Chicago is currently playing at The Phoneix Theatre; name two other theatre that this show has played at in the past
What character's name in Young Frankenstein upsets the horses?
After how many years after the books ended does the Cursed Child commence?
How many Shakespeare plays has the new director of The Globe appeared in?
Name three of the all women plays in the last Donmar season
How many times did The Ferryman extend?
What American currency do the urchins find in 42nd Street?
What is the longest running show on Broadway.
The Mousetrap is the longest running play but for how many years has it been running?
What was the event that caused The Curious Incident of the Dog at Night Time to move?
What was the show that was playing at the London Apollo before Wicked?
I won a 42nd Street Tote Bag with a poster and badges as part of the raffle. Dontdreamit won a Theatre Cafe musical with badges.
For those who wanted to go but couldn't go, never fear. It appears there is one every week, with next weeks being Disney themed.
Don't know if this focuses purely on staged Disney musicals, or Disney in general. The ones on the following weeks will be standard quizzes.
Manages to flog off some business cards but alas no badges.
