Truly, truly just the strongest Wicked cast I have ever seen! I will be making many visits now in the next few months! And I recommend everyone does. You will never see another cast like this, it has completely refreshed Wicked. Agreed it was like a totally new show. Thank Goodness.

Oh and I was also sat next to one of the cast members of the International Tour tonight! Joshua St Clair who is the Ensemble/Fiyero understudy! So it was nice to discuss with him how the tour is going, what it is like to be in the show etc!
He also pointed out an audience member who shall remain nameless just in case they are on this forum (I doubt they are so don't get paranoid people who were there tonight!). But this audience member is apparently quite well known to cast members on the tour and in London because he illegally films and record the show all and they are all aware of it, and he lurks at stage door alot too, they assume to keep him sweet with the cast. He is only young so they take it as immaturity but still!

Could immaturity also be an excuse for those with balloons and party poppers at the stage door tonight? Cringe.

Just checked his Twitter account, he has tweeted a pic of him with Rachel and Suzie, he was behind us. Holy sh*t Joshua St Clair's so hot 😍

Argh I hate the ticket booking system - trying to book for Rachel's last and it won't let me leave a single seat in a particular price bracket, even though it's clearly been done before judging by some of the single seats left elsewhere! Will have to dayseat to see Rachel in a couple of weeks

I listened to this last night and whilst I love it and love the belts, there is a cardinal sin committed for me...
I hate it during the flying section when an Elphie breathes between "I'm flying high [massive breath] defying gravity!"
There's no need to breathe there and if you can't go all the way through then tone the belt down! By no means a criticism aimed at Ms Tucker, lots of Elphie's do it, but it's a personal thing for me I just think it breaks the flow of the line up!

She's quite out of time there at the end!
Has been 4 years since I last saw the show, so probably due for a visit soon.

I noticed Rachel kept some of her American accent. She's still saying "Wizuurrd" like she would on Broadway. I guess it takes some getting used to after doing it with that accent for 10 months.

Notably only when she sang some of the American slightly came through... but then I remembered it was Rachel Tucker that was singing and I didn't even notice. Quite honestly, I think I was slightly in awe the whole time!

Yes the line by itself would may not need one, but after doing half a show, the rest of the song, and then the immense belt the flying section requires (even without any riffing) all while being suspended high above the stage- you take any breath you can. Not to mention both "I'm flying high" and "defying gravity" phrases require a powerful belt. I think the fact that lots of Elphie's need to do it says a lot

But I disagree that it's hard to do while belting - Jackie Hughes, Jen Dinoia and Willemijn all do the line straight through and I'd consider them to be in the power-belter top 5! As I said though, it's not a criticism it's personal choice. I think Rachel is a powerhouse and the reviews from last night are making me even more excited for the 10th anniversary show! Can't wait!

Oh I'm so very jealous of you all! Rachel is so easily the best actress to take on the role - I love her angry Elphaba and her vocals are just insane! I can't wait for someone to post a cheeky YouTube video of tonight's defying gravity. All that said, Kerry Ellis was absolutely brilliant every time I've seen her in it too. Sorry but the best ever Elphaba is Jacqueline Hughes by a mile.

Listening to Rachel on recording, I always thought she was the best to ever play Elphaba. To see her live last night, she just is Elphaba. She is the ultimate Elphaba in my opinion, I have never seen or heard another own the role like she does, she was just incredible! But again, difference of opinion is fabulous!

Quite honestly, I think I was slightly in awe the whole time! It's not necessarily a hangover from singing with an American accent. It could just be her own accent coming through. It always used to on certain vowels (most notably in I'm not that Girl). Admittedly it was easier to hide a Belfast accent under the American, as they're much more similar. She's said as much in a previous interview. The English accent takes more work. I wish they'd just let her use her own accent in the show. It's adorable.
