Not as crazy? I cam tell you the screaming was pretty deafening! Haha I was only referring to that audio, which sounds alot quieter audience wise compared to the final Defying Gravity's of past haha. But the atmosphere is always different in the theatre!

I first saw it from the back of the circle as I was student at the time and the tickets were cheap. I've actually been back to see it quite a few times from up there... if you don't want to spend much, I'd recommend.

Going to book, could anyone one suggest a good value first viewing ticket suggestion... Row B, C & D offer great views if you don't mind sitting on the sides. Try to get seat on the right of the stage as you look at it from the seat, often cheaper seats and very rarely do you miss anything. Same seats on the left of the stage often get obscured by the stairway but good value if you don't mind semi-restricted.

Fifteen quid to sit on the sides on the left was an absolute bargain! I cheekily got up for a 'bathroom break' and accidentally sat back down in a much pricier empty area. It wasn't as good further back so I returned to my original seat. The front stalls restricted view seats on the right have gone up to £45 I think, which is fair enough because it is only bodies onstage blocking your view.

Suddenly find myself at the Wednesday matinee next week thanks to a friend who works at the AV - very excited as I genuinely think the last time I went to Wicked was August 2008, Alexia Khadime was Elphaba. Very, very excited to be seeing the show again after so long and to be seeing Rachel Tucker, too, after all the comments on here!

I genuinely think the last time I went to Wicked was August 2008, Alexia Khadime was Elphaba. It was a much better show back then. Standards fell off a cliff after the Rachel/Gina cast change.

That's odd, coz i saw a photo on twitter someone posted of them sitting on the Steps claiming they were first in the queue
Who knows !! Maybe the interest in Wicked really has died - even with a new cast coming in. But then People have College / Work tomorrow morning
I've gotta be in the area in a few hours time - so will go have a look and report back

I'm still not sure if I can make it to London before Rachel leaves again I've been wanting to see her for years, and now the opportunity presents itself, but I might not make it.

On average how many normally leave? (I have no idea, sometimes I wonder why I even look in this thread).
Oh and that muck up matinee list was like gobbledygook to me!

I am really looking forward to seeing a new two lead team as well as new Boq, Morrible, Dillamond and some new energy coming into the ensemble.
I think tomorrow night will be something Wonderful, pardon the pun.
Not that I want to take anything away from the last cast as several of them I liked very much. I saw both shows on Saturday and I absolutely loved Carina on the tour but Savannah really blew her away for me in Saturday, far more Glinda-y and amuch stronger voice. Emma also had a great two last shows, although when I watch her I do sometimes think I am at a concert watching Emma Hatton sing the songs of Wicked, rather than watching Elphaba sing them. If you know what I mean.

I saw Emma once and I totally get what you mean. I didn't like her (lack of) acting.
