This is one show I wouldn’t be upset to see swing back in as a West End gap filler sometime. Peacock Theatre early 2025 would do nicely.

Does anyone know if there are genuine plans for a limited return to London?

Has anyone watched the pro shot on apple tv? I love the Apple version, it was that which got me hooked on the show as it was the first version I saw, and so far has been the one I've seen the most - although I expect that to change this year. That's not to say I necessarily think it's the best version, as I do love the current tour cast. But it's great to have on demand. I don't have Apple TV, but I've managed to make the most of a few free subscriptions.

Well I returned to 'the rock' for the Saturday matinee in Oxford and honestly, this is as good as it ever was in the West End. For me, this comes pretty close to being the perfect musical, it's paced so well and you have the perfect blend of humour and heartbreak and you're allowed to sit in both of these without being rushed through.
It seems that all of the cast, without exception, appreciate the gravity of the story they are telling and they treat it so well. Also, the fact that aside from Welcome to the Rock and Screech In, there is no space left for applause so you completely stay in the story and you ride the rollercoaster of joy and heartbreak just as you should.
And the band are just exceptional and you leave the theatre with a full heart.
