Does anyone know if there are genuine plans for a limited return to London?

Has anyone watched the pro shot on apple tv? I love the Apple version, it was that which got me hooked on the show as it was the first version I saw, and so far has been the one I've seen the most - although I expect that to change this year. That's not to say I necessarily think it's the best version, as I do love the current tour cast. But it's great to have on demand. I don't have Apple TV, but I've managed to make the most of a few free subscriptions.

Well I returned to 'the rock' for the Saturday matinee in Oxford and honestly, this is as good as it ever was in the West End. For me, this comes pretty close to being the perfect musical, it's paced so well and you have the perfect blend of humour and heartbreak and you're allowed to sit in both of these without being rushed through.
It seems that all of the cast, without exception, appreciate the gravity of the story they are telling and they treat it so well. Also, the fact that aside from Welcome to the Rock and Screech In, there is no space left for applause so you completely stay in the story and you ride the rollercoaster of joy and heartbreak just as you should.
And the band are just exceptional and you leave the theatre with a full heart.

I saw the matinee in Leeds yesterday and loved it just as much as in Leicester. Alyn was on for Oz, which was great to see as he played it a bit differently. They had signs up in the foyer stating the cast change, which I thought was good. Nothing else I can add really that hasn't already been said, the show is certainly in great hands and everyone seems to be really enjoying themselves.

Saw this at Birmingham Hippodrome on Monday night and it was a real feel good ensemble show. Excellent cast including Natasha J Barnes, Nicholas Pound, Sara Poyzer and Amanda Henderson amongst others who seamlessly moved from one character to another.

My first time seeing this show and... I was a bit disappointed.
With everyone raving about it being the best musical ever, maybe my expectations were just too high. I intentionally held off listening the cast recording in too much detail as I wanted to experience this show raw. I was expecting it to be quite emotional (actually very emotional) but instead it was so fast paced and hectic that there was not really any chance to reflect on what these people were experiencing.
Take 39 Planes... I imagined this as a hugely powerful moment in the show; the moment where it dawns on the islanders the scale of global events changing before their very eyes. The whole song is barely a minute long and immediately jumps into the comedy of Blankets and Bedding.
Still a great musical, but didn't live up to the fanatical hype for me unfortunately.

This is just my personal opinion, and we saw it opening night in Leicester, so I'm sure a lot has been tweaked in the meantime, and confident has grown. But compared to the West End production when I saw that the first time, I was fully emotionally involved, and I just didn't have that with this touring company either. Not to say the cast isn't great and didn't do a good job, it just wasn't the same at all in a way.

Holly Ann Butler (a standby from Broadway & the US Tour) has posted on instagram that she has joined the UK Tour in Dublin for a few months!

Just seen the what's on stage clip of 'Screech In' and having been lucky enough to have seen the original cast in New York during previews, this company seem fab and it sounds great! Thinking about popping along when it's just down the road in Wimbledon! Funny how art travels...

I have just had a brilliant couple of days in Dublin seeing this for my birthday. I'd thought I could probably get to almost anywhere on the tour in order to see the show on my birthday, and when I checked and realised it was in Dublin this week I jumped at the chance. (I normally go over to Ireland every year at the start of May, but didn't this year, so thought this was an excellent opportunity to make up for my missed visit.) Thursday was a bit stressful as my flight was two hours late due to the bad weather - I landed at 5.30, got lost finding my hotel and ended up checking in and just leaving my case at reception without even going to my room to freshen up, and I arrived at the theatre at 7.20!
Given the state I was in, the show was even more emotional than usual - I was crying almost as soon as it started! It was a very interesting show, Angeline was on as Diane and Phil was MD. Kirsty Malpass, the Assistant Director, came on as Beulah after Me and the Sky - they didn't even need to stop the show, the changeover was done very smoothly. Amanda had hurt her hand and needed to get it patched up. It was great to see some different cast members, and everyone did a great job.
Friday (my birthday) was much less stressful. I spent the day doing touristy things and went to the show again in the evening. Kirsty Hoiles was back as Diane, Phil was MD again, and Kirsty Malpass did the whole show as Beulah as Amanda was letting her hand heal so that she didn't catch it when they moved the tables etc. I had exactly the same seat for both shows, not necessarily by choice as that was where Ticketmaster allocated me when I said I wanted to be on the front row.
I came home yesterday, so it was only a flying visit, but I'm so glad I decided to go as I had a really amazing time.

Could anyone suggest where I may be able to purchase a tour program from (assuming they exist). Venue Cymru appear to have stopped selling them as the last 3 shows I have attended there have not had them available to buy (Jamie, Six and CFA). I think there is a Facebook group for that sort of thing. Ebay seems a bit exorbitantly priced.

I was able to buy a CFA program at Venue Cymru on Tuesday evening but they were out of stock on Saturday night. I was also able to get a JCS one a few weeks back on the Thursday night.

I managed to see it 5 times in Newcastle, and would have happily gone every night if I could. The cast were superb, and managed to see covers on for Oz (Alyn Hawke), Claude (Daniel Cane), Hannah (Angeline Bell) and Kevin J (Kevin Yates) over the 5 performances.
I heard there were two actual 'come from aways' in the audience on Friday night who'd never seen the show before.
It really was wonderful and so uplifting to see standing ovations on all floors night after night :-)
