This is FAST becoming one of my favourite musicals - so addictive and so much fun. Went for the second time today. Stephen Leask is AMAZING. Both of my vists have been Alternate Deweys and I just cannot fault either of them.

Also noticed that Patty's song is different to the one on the soundtrack. Didn't notice it last time, but probably cos I hadn't listened to the soundtrack before I went last time. Did the West End ever have 'Give Up Your Dreams'?

Also this time (I don't recall it last time), Dewey said you could take pics at the end, during the concert bit. I quite like that - something a bit different. BUT I didn't like that he bellowed '@schoolofrockuk'...sort of takes away from it a bit.

I understand that the cast of School of Rock (and Les Miserables) will be performing on ITV's Tonight At The London Palladium on Wednesday.

Saw this for the first time today, enjoyed it way more than I expected too. Damn those kids are a talented bunch!

If you want to see this for the first time or have another look, this month might be a good time. I just noticed that TodayTix have 50% off tickets for all shows this month. I just got a prime seat in the stalls for £28 with the extra £10 off cus it was my first time using it. They have other seats for £25 which is a bargain anyway and especially if it's your first time and have a code or some credit and can get even more off. They hide the offer a bit though and display full price tickets before the discount ones so make sure to scroll down to those prices With that in mind my refferel code is MGFDF

The show has never really been on my 'must-see' list but at that price and with no other plans it was a no brainer! Looking forward to it!

It might also be a good time to see it while you still can. This show is papering and discounting heavily and has been for months. Unlike some posters I certainly don't wish shows to fail on principal, so I hope this doesn't close and put people out of a job, but I do wonder how much life it has in it.

The show has been extended to February 2019, in addition with the new children's cast being announced.
They've cast a girl as Freddy the drummer which is a first and I'm thrilled to see them change it up a bit.

Good news, but didn't The Girls extend just before it announced it was closing?

An extension to February 2019 seems HUGE. Unless 2018 was meant?

If you added the entire readership of this forum, plus anyone who stumbled across the post by accident, you may be able to fill half of the upper circle at one performance. Those who like it are going to anyway, those who don't aren't going to change their minds. Shows paper when they are doing poorly, whether they are critically successful or not. I saw Miss Saigon for free about eight times, a show I loved...

Don't for one moment think that the only people who read this forum are those who post. You would be amazed at how many page views we get each month, it's huge. I know it feels like a fairly small community where we all kind of know eachother, and that's a lovely thing. But we get many more people reading than contributing, including people in the industry and the press (we have been quoted in the press). We also have several members who are well known producers. If word gets around that a production is papering to the extent that you implied, it could become a self fulfilling prophecy. It's certainly not going to help matters.

Every papering agency I've belonged to or got tickets from has always had very strict rules about not talking about the shows involved - and for good reason, too.
