He was an excellent Cunningham (I saw him many times and he was such a delight), but I highly doubt that.

Well if they were going to use anyone's promotional photos for SoR they'd be Alex Brightman's surely, as photos of him already exist in the role.
I'd love for Will Blum to come over to Book of Mormon. He really is fantastic.

Yeah maybe Will is doing a show over here soon that isn't School of Rock and that's what he meant?

The producers are leaving things awfully late for announcing any cast members, are they not? Two months until previews starts and we still don't even know the name of the two leads.

So according to Christopher Keys Twitter looks like School of Rock starts rehearsals today! Still no cast announcement but he also tweeted it would be next month until announced?? I wonder why they are waiting so long if they clearly have their cast? Apparently (overheard at Stage door of Beautiful) the U.K. Dewey alternate / cover is going to be David O'Mahony meaning he's leaving Beautiful early. Then like we thought an American is coming over to play Dewey who was a cover on Broadway. I wish they'd just hurry up and let us know!

To be fair "next month" is only a few days away so we might still get cast news fairly soon.

So obviously, all the kids have been cast as they start rehearsals today:
But I think (based on casting notices) that the adult casting has not been fully completed, hence a lack of announcement.

Have to be honest, David O'Mahony doesn't strike me as a Dewey, and he's a very different build to everyone who's played Dewey on Broadway (except maybe Will Blum).
Alex's covers have been Jonathan Wagner (who has left - he was the original unofficial 'alternate'), Michael Hartney, Merritt David Janes and Will Blum. I suspect we could be getting Jonathan.

The website London production doesn't seem to be working at the moment, maybe it's being updated with cast info???...or it could be just a glitch.

It won't be Alex Brightman; he's tweeted about doing some masterclasses in November in the States. I don' remember Jonathan Wagner getting as good a reaction as Will Blum - though in earlier days of the run people may have been more disappointed not to get Alex.

Never seen School of Rock so no idea what ages, etc the cast is made up of, but I seem to remember this happening when The Commitments was cast. There was no announcement (apart from Killian Donnelly, months in advance) and even though various cast members were tweeting 'clues' during rehearsals, they clearly weren't allowed to say which show they were rehearsing for. I think someone eventually listed the entire cast on here (well, the previous forum) and about a month after rehearsals began, the full cast was announced together with a replica of the photo used in the film. So, they could be doing something similar . . . . Or maybe as someone said, they haven't completely finished casting it yet!

That's really strange/intriguing. Most of the adults are in their late 20s/30s, and the kids are all probably between ages 8 and 14.

Anyone had an email about their seats? I've had one from see tickets to say that my original seats Stalls I11-13 have been changed to I 51-53 due to an error?
Looks to me like these are better seats...guessing they have finalised the staging now?

What I didn't like is "tickets will be posted to you". Meaning I prob won't get them before my trip to London. I had "Box Office collection", why couldn't they leave it like that?

I'm hoping that was just letting people know there would be replacements and not to use the old ones. Not that they'd all be posted now.

We got I11/12 tickets for November but did not receive a seat change (yet?). Curious what is behind this. On the website they still say seat plan has not been finalized but cannot find these seats for sale anymore on different dates.

I didn't get an email, but unexpectedly received a ticket through the mail just shortly before I left for London.

Contacted customer service and they promised to leave my ticket at the BO. I remember how one of the box officces in London felt the urge to send me my ticket to some show last year. The printed me a duplicate when I came to see it. After that I spent 1 more week in London, got back home, a few more weeks passed - and only then I received the mail... (And people in the UK sometimes blame Royal Mail for being slow!)

The Front-of-House posters have started going up. Lots of pictures of Alex and an enormous Logo on the front of the theatre!

But still no cast announcement? Very annoying. Previews start in just over a month don't they?

I am seeing this for the show rather than who is in it but glad I'm not the only one who thinks its odd that we don't know who's in it yet!

This isn't a show that will sell on who's in it. Still odd there's been nothing!
