People do get scoops. But soon the press is notified. There's no such mention of this. Who is this kid and why would the producers give him this exclusive when they'v got a Baz or a Shenton to do it instead?
It's a bit sketchy.

Carl is the same person who recently tweeted about Dolly coming tot what Palladium in 2019. So who is this guy? And was this an "exclusive" or is he just an insider of some sort? It doesn't look like this is real. No news outlet has released this. I'm also starting to have doubts about this. The partnership between A.R.T. and Trafalgar seems questionable. If it does come true & the Dolly rumour too (which I mentioned months ago & got a mighty verbal bitch slap), I will laugh in your beautiful face! Ha! |

...and the plot thickens; yesterday, the (hilarious) Wikipedia synopsis told us MJ attempted to make pancakes while detoxing. Today, they've upped the ante, and she now apparently attempts to make a quiche. Clearly they're still working on the show.  |

I think it would do well here. I enjoyed it despite knowing only a handful of Alanis songs. Definitely one for a smaller venue though

how exciting! With this and Hadestown at the NT its nice to see we are getting to see some of the more experimental theatre. (Cue cries of "but why arent we supporting new British work"? My answer is I dont know but is nice to see new work wherever its origin!) Is there any British work worth seeing? With exception to Jamie, British work hardly pushes boundaries or tries anything new. They all target these big, sweeping epic stories and want to be the next Les Mis. Although Jamie is pop and not necessarily daring or bold, it is a show about young people and fully inclusive. Producers and writers should take note. That is a brilliant sweeping statement though, especially as you have a picture of yourself, as your avatar wearing a Six t shirt. |

The music of course is great but the book and direction on the other hand.... I agree, I have zero interest in this and I say this as a fan of Alanis Morrisette's music. I am absolutely fine with musicals about contemporary issues - I thought Next to Normal brilliantly covered the effects of pill addiction and grief/trauma that was never worked through, for example. DEH, for all its flaws, at least deals with questions of social anxiety, the influence of social media, etc. and I would like to see more/better shows about what it means to grow up in this toxic world. But Jagged Little Pill just sounds like it tries to cram every current "woke" issue into two hours like a box-ticking exercise. I wasn't in the mood for so much constructed woe even when it opened and I'm most certainly not in the mood for it now after a year of relentless real life lockdown drama and anxiety. |

Lauren Patton was sensational. I just wish her big number was in Act 1 so I could have left at the interval.
Elizabeth Stanley was also wonderful. Both deserve Tony’s .
One of the most depressing shows I’ve ever sat through.
It probably comes across well on the recording- because you don’t have to sit through the mind numbing agony of the actual storylines.
You couldn’t pay me to sit through this again.

Yeah I was going to say do we reckon there'll be any rewrites on this because all I've heard about this show is how terrible the book is, trying to cram in every social issue it can without dealing with any of them sensitively or intelligently.
