All of the songs that wouldn't exist in a sung-through musical if it wasn't entirely sung-through. Most Lloyd-Webber musicals have at least five "We. Are. Going. To. Sing. This. Whole. Conversation. All. On. The. Same. Note." songs that should be cut.Really? Name them... |

Really don't like In The Land Of The Pig The Butcher Is King in my current West End fave, Bat Out Of Hell. Is just so aggressive! Wish they'd cut it!

So many people don't like this! I adore it, mostly because it does a great job of portraying a little girl trying to cling onto her childhood and talking to her stuffed toys. |

For me it has to be Blood in the water from Legally Blonde. That show is fab but that song is dire. Especially when "sung" by Peter Davison. |

For me one of them is 'All You Have To Do Is Wait" from City of Angels, completely breaks up the flow of an otherwise nearly perfect score. Plus it is very odd to have this song sung by characters we dont really know much about/need to care about.

I think it's a great song, but it doesn't belong in that musical. I do quite like singing it with an exaggerated accent though... best to wind up the windows in the car if singing "When the pellets hit the pail, from the instant you inhale, all you have to do it waaaait" in traffic, otherwise you get some looks. |

Youre right, its not a bad song, but being in that particular show (which is one of my favourites so thats probably why i feel more negative towards it), its merits are weakened. |

Play the Game, Hammer to Fall, Headlong and Fat Bottomed Girls From WWRY. It was my school play last year and those were the songs that I felt the most bored/least engaged whilst performing.

It's a tie between Something and Loose Ends from Witches of Eastwickzzzzzz. I agree - I loved the show but these just stopped the flow at crucial moments in each act. I recall Loose Ends was supposed to be replaced by another song at the time of the first (and last) London cast change but it never happened - fortunately Rebecca Thornhill had learned both! It’s been cut from most subsequent productions. ‘Something’ got moved to Act One, restaged and shortened at the time the show moved to the Prince of Wales. Appearing to both spoof and embrace the cliche ‘love song’ moment it’s trying to have cake and eat it and just comes across as a one-note joke stretched far too thin. |

"I am Telling You" - Dreamgirls. It's the reason I won't see the show which is a shame as "One Night Only" is one of my favourite songs.
