Aladdin backstage team have been told they’re due to close. Prince Edward will be free, but will be fairly sad that nothing new will replace it if Poppins is correct.

With the new film due out at the end of the year then i can see the reasons behind it. It might give it a new life for a while but it will be interesting to see how long it can ride that wave and last for.

I always feel for the cast of the closing shows when stuff like this happens, especially for a show like Aladdin which has a large Asian cast who already struggle to get cast in anything other than 'Asian' shows as it is. I hope they can all find work soon after.

have seen both Aladdin and Mary Poppins and prefer Aladdin by far
well , will wait to see who will be in it and then maybe see it

Oh I could actually burst with happiness.
The show means so much to me. Zizi is a wonderful Mary, and Charlie is absolute perfection in casting.
It’s gonna be a long year to wait!
