Saw last night. Bloody brilliant, with a remarkable central performance from Jessie Buckley, the girl from the Nancy search, and I recall seeing her in A Little Night Music. She’s going to be big in Hollywood after this.
The more I think about it, the more ambiguous the ending is. Deliciously dark!

It's wonderful - a sort of sundrenched noir and one of the best films I've seen recently. Go and see it, people - and don't read plot spoilers! This year's God's Own Country, I hope, in that it's a really impressive debut which will hopefully do well on word-of-mouth. At the preview screening I saw, they moved it from the usual small screen to the big one because it was already gathering interest.

Totally agree with the above comments. I saw this on Wednesday night and loved it. Jessie Buckley and Johnny Flynn are really excellent and it has a wonderful performance from Geraldine James. There is also a great cameo from Olwen Fouere.
It also moves beautifully from the intoxication of first erotic love to an increasing sense of dread and the score is great too. It perhaps loses its way slightly at the end but it's a very accomplished debut from Michael Pearce. Don't watch the trailer in advance - too much is given away.
