I am currently having a clear out and the amount of theatre leaflets I have picked up over the years is actually ridiculous. I have multiples of the same leaflet for some reason. I think I must have some kind of compulsion when it comes to picking the damn things up! When I have the time I will go through them and just keep one of each but what to do with the remaining ones. Ebay? Anyone here want any? Seems a waste just throwing them in the bin. I wish I wasn't such a hoarder

I think I must have some kind of compulsion when it comes to picking the damn things up! Rest assured, you are not alone in this. I have developed a habit of picking up four leaflets for the show I'm seeing in the foyer. To my shame I've even been known to pick some up for shows I'm booked to see in advance, and then take more on the day of the event!

I always pick up three, as an insurance policy, just in case any are damaged on the way home.
As none usually are, all three are then 'archived'.
When I went to see Wonderland in Nottingham a few weeks ago, it was the matinee of the last day, and they had no flyers left. I was inconsolable (though not inconsolable enough to put my hand in my pocket and buy a programme!!!)

I too have started collecting several, a sort of clean copy and one to pin up and yes in advance and then often again on the day just in case

I have a whole shoebox full of flyers, some 15-20 years old. I always thought that someday I'll have a big house where I use them to wallpaper an entire room in which I also put my shelves with programmes, souvenir brochures, books, CDs and DVDs - sort of like a tiny private museum. Sadly the big house is probably never gonna happen, but once in a while I like to rummage around the box and remind myself of all the short-lived flops that have come and gone.

I have phases where I get loads and then randomly stop and then start again, so there are gaps in my collection for shows I like where I missed some which is slightly annoying, but oh well, my own fault. Like everyone else I seem to always grab a few, one pristine one has to make it home. At uni they also made great wallpaper!

I thought I was alone picking up about 4 each show I go to. I put them in a folder with my tickets.

I grab one for each show I see it and stick it up next to my ticket, I'd be interested to see which ones you have, a guilty pleasure of mine is seeing people programme, merch and leaflet collections
