Billy is one of my favourite musicals ever. I saw Michael Crawford with a young Elaine Paige. I agree Charlie Stemp would be an excellent Billy

I think Charlie Stemp would be a great Billy. I never saw the original but have the vinyl. That's three yeses for young Charlie Stemp (if we ever get him back from Broadway!)

ANYTHING by Jerry Herman but particularly
Mame The Grand Tour
The latter was given an excellent, small scale production at The Finborough a few years ago but I'd love to see it with higher production values.

Yes!! Would love to see Mame, and agree that that production of The Grand Tour (with Alastair Brookshaw) was fantastic.

My first west end show! And there are enough charismatic young men to play Billy Fisher at the moment. Those of you touting "Brigfriggindoon" need to have a good talk to yourselves. Trite rubbish with one song, but that's just my opinion. Not so much a revival but a first showing in the West End of a previous Broadway hit, so it is a revival of sorts - " The Boy from Oz". I won't mention who I would cast as Peter Allen or you'll likely come round and break me windows!!!! Agreed! I've always thought that 'The Boy From Oz' is the ideal star vehicle for Killian Donnelly.

Not that they would necessarily sell well enough BUT The Music Man, Camelot, Oklahoma at the Palladium for the Summer terms.

Maggie May, Kiss of the Spiderwoman.
The latter is probably the show most overdue for a new production in the UK.

Has The Music Man ever been revived professionally in the UK? It seems to be done all the time in the US, but have never heard of it being done here. Chichester did it in 2008 with Brian Conley as Harold Hill and Scarlett Strallen as Marian. Cast also had Katy Secombe, Jenny Galloway, Zizi Strallen and Sophie Louise Dann. It was really glorious - I presume primed for a transfer but never happened for some reason! Though I don't speak with any knowledge about that. I saw that production. The piece wasn't my cup of tea. Ijust went to see because a friend was in it.

Camelot appears to have been re-released for amateurs - which makes me wonder whether a pro production had been planned and has now fallen through

I'm very eager to have CATS come back for a limited run at least.

I'm very eager to have CATS come back for a limited run at least. Gosh no. The tour that went round fairly recently wasn't of a particularly good standard, I didn't think. Wasn't particularly well attended either. Certainly not good enough to justify a sit down in London.

Les Miserables...
Close it for a couple of weeks. Repaint the main set grey, bring back the orchestra, bin the panto costumes together with the comedy makeup, and ask Uncles Trevor and John in to restore some of the subtlety. Revival complete.

I would love to see HEDWIG (definitely) legally blonde and beauty and the beast (London or tour shocked they didn't bring it back with the release of the new film would have made sense to revive or tour it).

I would love to see HEDWIG (definitely) legally blonde and beauty and the beast (London or tour shocked they didn't bring it back with the release of the new film would have made sense to revive or tour it). I was thinking about Beauty & the Beast only yesterday, and was wondering whether there were any talks to revive the canned prospective tour that was booked in. I would personally love to see: • Beauty and the Beast • The Little Mermaid (though unrealistic) • Gypsy w/ Imelda • London Road • Spring Awakening (from the Hope Mill)
