At what point did theatres decide that the purchase and delivery of tickets was going to be organised purely for their convenience rather than the customers?
Here I am, with theatre money to burn in my pocket and my choice for today, a play at the Vaults Festival, tells me my only "delivery" method is print at home (where's the delivery in that?). Only problem is I don't currently have access to a printer on the Sunday afternoon. And I'm not about to go and purchase one. Or go out of my way especially as this is a "don't mind seeing" rather than absolute must. And they want to charge me a £3 booking fee for the privilege. What exactly do they think they've done to earn themselves even 1p?
And the box office is open 9.00-17.00 Monday to Friday though they have performances on Saturday and Sunday. That's no way to make a living.

Charging people a fee to print their own tickets must be one of the biggest scams since Madonna introduced the concept of charging to get access to her presale.
