I was helping a friend with the get in for a play opening shortly at Park Theatre "There Or Here" and also noticed that there are some interesting things coming up including David Haig's play "Pressure" and a new musical. Having explored a little this looks to be a great venue with a nice little studio space too.
I thought this would a good thread to start any discussion of productions which have played here and those yet to open. I look forward to visiting again soon!

Will be I have for my first time soon to see Rothschild and sons musical which I'm looking forward too. A venue I have wanted to go to for a while and especially annoyed I missed Madame Rubinstein. It also is nice and easy to get to , only a 15 minute tube journey from Victoria. And aswell when I hooked the tickets saw about the restaurant there and it looks good as well as reasonably priced.

It has been closed this week as they are making it look pretty for the new season. Looks like there's a nice bar to hangout in upstairs too.
Rothschild and Sons has a great cast so I will look forward to seeing it!
It's also great to see that the studio space has room for the audience and they aren't just crammed right against the walls!

I really like the Park, it's easy for me to get to, it has a nice vibe and great staff. There are a few threads around for productions that have already happened here. And I can absolutely rave about Gilly's Fry Bar, a spirited Japanese/Lancashire fish bar just a few doors away towards Finsbury Park Station for fish and chips (ish)

The Lebanese right next door is very good. It is a great little theatre. Seen good stuff there. Looking forward to Pressure.

Some of us are already regulars - I am one - and I like the venue and the atmosphere. For me it's like a smarter version of Southwark Playhouse, as though the latter does more musicals, otherwise I find the programming and the fact that both have 2 spaces makes them very similar.
The programming at both is very mixed and, imo, hit and miss, as there are lots of touring productions. The one note of caution I would sound is to keep an eye on pricing and to be wary of deals which pop up after you've booked at the price on the Park's own site - which, in fairness to the venue, always includes reduced-price previews and the usual concessions. However, I've been caught out more than once by booking ahead, only to find I could have paid less had I waited, so now I only pay upfront for a production which I think will be really popular.
Pressure was announced long ago but I had already booked to see that elsewhere on its UK tour and whilst I have my eye on Rothschild And Sons (the forthcoming musical in the main space) and a few other things in the current season, I've yet to book for any.

I'm a fan of the place too. Nice vibe and excellent productions. However, I would personally avoid sitting in the circle as access to your seat there is really awkward.

Saw the revival of the Sondheim rarity "Do i hear a Waltz?" a few years ago which i enjoyed. It is in a good locatiob but im afraid the orogramming since has been more miss than hit for me. The eateries nearby are not high on my list for going either. I do check their announcements tho just to make sure. As has been said this current season was released some time ago.

They do a nice line in coffee and cake, which is always a winner I'm fond of the place, though I don't get there as often as I'd like. I was also once evacuated from there mid show due to a fire alarm- added moment of excitement!

Oh I rather like the Park Theatre, it's a jolly little place, gets a bit crowded in the bar area at times but you get there eventually. Plus I saw Rebecca Lacey, star of 'May To December', there once which was nice. She was enjoying a bag of crisps. Couldn't tell the flavour.
And I would recommend sitting in the circle. The view isn't as good obviously but I did find myself within Spacey-distance of James McAvoy and Oliver Chris up there once.

I once had a very British 'is that mine-no-it's-yours-are-you-sure' debate over a coffee with Danny Boys there (ordering the same drink at the same time debacle)
Also they have a theatre Dog. Points for that too.

Oh and now I feel awful, having mentioned the dog as it's sadly died....

Really you think it is like the Southwark Playhouse, not saying you are wrong. I always thought it reminds me of a smaller Donmar Warehouse. can be a cracking venue, enjoyed Chinglish there last year and Tick, Tick, Boom. Can be a pain for me to get to from SE London.

Surely easier than Cirencester though?

Much easier than Cirencester, by several hours.

Park is one of my fav venues as it’s on the Piccadilly line. Seen around 25 plays here which all bar one have been pretty consistent.
