Was Will Callan off anyway or has he just been pushed aside for Jac to do 4 weeks as Marius?
Will is off an awful lot (more than any Marius I have ever known) but is honestly one of the best Mariuses (Marii?) I have ever seen.
Same question re Claire Machin.
Do always find it a bit weird when they do this!

I do think this is happening as to get them used to the show before the tour and Bradley Jaden did do his run in January with Killian (probably to get them used to being Valjean and Javert together). It could be a bit of both with the regular performers since i do remember Stewart Clarke was already having time off in January anyway before Bradley came in

Yeah they do this a lot - put people in London for a month or so who are preparing for various concerts/other productions.
Never understood the need for it. The concert is new and they are all professionals capable of learning and rehearsing. Why on earth do they need to do London as a try out? Doesn't happen in any other shows!
And it's not like it's needed for London sales boost. Cast change announcement will be soon anyway.....

Much as I’ve wanted to see Jac Yarrow in something that’s not Joseph, I had a look at prices for the few dates I might be able to make… No ta.

As I couldn't get a ticket for their arena appearance this is the next best thing.

I have just booked for the 9th August to see Bonnie and Jac, but when I was looking at the official Les Mis website and the cast it shows them performing from 25th July to 1st August but all the press releases and CamMacs website show until 10th August. So I have just e mailed to get clarification. Finally enough when I called box office this morning to book they didn't know about them appearing and only knew of them doing the arena tour. Very confusing.

It would be weird if their final day was on a Thursday, basically mid-week.

Already had an automated reply to say e mail received so hopefully will hear back tomorrow.

Bear in mind there’s often sizeable on the day discounts via TKTS / Official London Theatre if you can leave it that late… There haven’t been any TKTS discounts on the 2 nights so far £102.50-£203 as it is right now which is the same as yesterday, nothing at the £58/£46 (I think they were) even just after midnight when it goes live, I hope that this isn’t going to become the norm for this moving forward and its just the initial Langford/Yarrow interest and it settles down after this week!

Yes, unfortunately it’s never guaranteed for a show like Les Mis and I’m sure the Bonnie/Jac effect has seen demand spike this week. I saw on a Facebook fan group two people who’d travelled to London hoping to see last night’s performance but unable to get tickets at the box office as they were hoping. Unsure if they didn’t know it was Bonnie and Jac’s debut performance or if they’d just not realised that might make it harder to get tickets than usual. Perhaps next week things’ll get back to normal and it’ll be easier to get on the day tickets again.

Anyone seen Jac/Bonnie this week? Due to see them later next month. I've heard that Bonnie did the splits. Don't know if it was a one off or she is going to do it every night. Hope its the latter. It should be written into every contract she signs.

It should be written into every contract she signs. I was there last night so that’s five shows in and the splits were still there - I think the spot where the splits have been blocked in is likely to stay. There’s a sort of high kick in a different scene as well. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of it with the tour and how they block it as a concert. Bonnie doing the splits in a concert staging is actually more controlled in movement than the previous blocking so maybe this makes sense. Jac will settle into an excellent Marius I think. He sounds more mature than the last few in this cast so it’s an adjustment, but his rapport with the rest of the students has an excellent energy and he sounds great. Bonnie is a very different Madam T to Claire. Bonnie has a very specific energy on stage and the Sondheim is a small stage really so she is a pocket rocket who doesn’t fade behind Thenardier at all. I wonder if they will try to bring her down a little darker over the course of her West End run. Luke started more comedic when he first joined and is a darker Mr T now, so it seems logical. They play well off each other and the ‘one thing more…’ before they sell Cosette was strong and showed the potential for that darkness to shine through.

I think she'll play it consistently. Really Thenardier is the one that gets more serious, especially because you sing Dog Eats Dog every night (easily the darkest number.)
I'll have to wait to see her on the arena tour because these next two months are so busy for me I'll have to see her at the rumoured London residence.

does anyone know who is staying/leaving? I believe we're getting a new JVJ, Cosette, Eponine and Enjolras (maybe more but not sure). A lot of the ensemble are leaving too.

When is cast change for this and does anyone know who is staying/leaving? Was 25th September last year and is usually about that time. So assume we'll be hearing soon (ish!) :-)
