I'd forgotten about this place, but it's actually happening! It's now called the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, and is opening with "War Horse" from 18th October to 23rd November www.kxtickets.com/whats-on/war-horse?dm_i=3T8Y,ITVR,22EGCW,218NP,1

And the same people also have plans to open another theatre near Television Centre, called Troubadour Theatre White City.

It’s strange that Wembley Park has been more successful than White City,

Interesting article here about how the theatres are constructed: www.building.co.uk/buildings/projects-troubadour-theatre-white-city-london/5101874.articleThe "portable" aspect explains the unusual seating layout at Wembley Park. I guess they need everything on one level. Hadn't realised this was the same company who ran the various theatres at Kings Cross (In The Heights etc). Just disappointed I will now never get to go Troubadour White City. I'm currently staying (during the week) within five minutes walk of the theatre and had been hoping they'd schedule shows in like at Wembley. Had no idea they were planning to take it back down.

Fascinating stuff,Dr Tom...we are at TWS later and as I always love new theatres it will interesting to visit the Wembley venue...there is a free song-writing workshop with the Rocktopus band on today apparently which can be booked through the web-site leading to a public performance in the foyer before the matinee.
