With a New Year comes new resolutions, some which will be achieved and others will likely fail but what resolutions do you have, these can be either theatre related or non theatre related.
I'd like to see a wider range of theatres this year, perhaps see an opera or a ballet in addition to musicals and plays and non theatre wise, I'd like to improve my cookery skills.

Mine are to sit in a box (at the theatre, not a random cardboard box), take a backstage tour (hopefully the Drury Lane one), attend a press night, attend a first preview of a major new show, and see something at the Royal Albert Hall 😁

I found it a bit odd the one time I sat in a theatre box( not counting the box I sat in several times on the Queen Victoria cruise ship )which has the finest theatre afloat in my opinion. Admittedly it was for a Jane Mcdonald concert in Leeds at the Grand theatre. It was certainly an experance enhanced by the fact she kept looking at us, I guess wondering who we were!

For theatre it it to know and take part on more behind the scenes things and maybe see a but more but there is only so much I can fit in. I would maybe like to see some things that are a bit out of my comfort zone like foreign theatre. Non theatre is to do some more baking and try new and different things that are maybe difficult and one I have just thought of randomly is to learn and improve how to sing.

This year I’ve decided if there’s a play I want to see, just make sure I go and see it. I can be very guilty of repeat viewing musicals, and even though I’ve wanted to see ‘Ink’ I decided to visit 42nd Street for the second and third times instead. Now all performances are sold out, so I’m hoping to try rush as a last resort. But hopefully no repeats of leaving things to chance this year.

I rarely see shows more than once anymore because I think it's better to see lots of new shows rather than the same shows over and over. Even replacing one just repeat visit with a new show would be a start.

See at least 26 new shows (so it averages at least 1 a fortnight), try not to repeat visit shows as often and see more plays. Pretty basic but at least I stand a chance of achieving them and more. Honestly believe the whole repeat viewing thing will be the one I struggle with most
