Well goodness. I’ve spent an evening in the company of this little foursome tonight, having never seen them on BGT apart from the YouTube of Stars.
Blimey. More cheese vicar? No thanks, I’m full. 🧀🧀🧀
The audience (Collaborators as I now know them to be called) we’re HOT for it. Packed Bridgewater Hall which isn’t small by any means. Four lads with pretty average voices who sound pretty ok together when bolstered by the click track and 5 piece band.
Support act Act was a bit KT Tunstall (good) but kept telling us about her personal issues (not so good). Special Guest was a soprano who forced her self penned songs on us. Great voice but she should have sung some MT. We’re not interested in a song about your Nan passing over Hun. Lukewarm reception, should have done some Eliza Doolittle. Would have KILLED it.
All three acts pushed their merch shamelessly. To the point of cringe. The support was the worst “please buy this tonight at the interval as it’s the deadline for me getting in the iTunes chart tomorrow”. Wow. You bleedin’ liar.
Anyway I enjoyed it on some level or another. Voyeurism maybe.
