Does anyone else think that little Charlotte looks like the Queen and has her mannerisms? There was just one second of when her mum stopped down to tell her something and she acknowledged in the way we know the Queen does with a slight tilt of the head and firm mouth. Brilliant. Iāve seen a few but I suspect that was my last Royal Wedding.

It was absolutely wonderful. Loved the fact that there no politicians, heads of state and hangers on there. Just friends and family. Made it seem intimate but on a grand scale. And the mad vicar nearly stole the show.

Didnāt realise till yesterday it was on today. Didnāt watch. Literally not the slightest bit interested - not anti-royal or anything but just no reason why I would be interested in it. I see from reports David Beckham was there. Why ? Did only famous people get invited ? Bit like Twitter where celebrities only reply and re-tweet other celebrities.

Yep that was a great wedding and what nice weather for it, Meghan looked beautiful and Harry is a lucky man. Felt sorry for Meghans mum being the only one of her family there but it was Avery nice , if long ceremony. I am quite a royalist so admit I love anything with the family .

If you had watched it then you would have seen that no it was not only celebrities there. In fact they were in the minority. It was friends and family and David Beckham was there as he is a friend of Harry.

I didn't expect to enjoy it but I really did. The hats, the music and as above the mad rev.
Lynette agree about Charlotte looking like the Queen, it's quite funny how she has that dark hair and doesn't look like her mother.

I was working so just watched the highlights programme. Have to say what a great day it seemed. Everything went like clockwork and didn't Windsor look fabulous. A great mix of old and new. Loved the gospel choir too.

I thought it was a nice service. Enjoyed the music. Not sure about the over-enthusiastic Rev - perhaps they should have done what they do at award ceremonies when someone blathers on too long, and had the trumpeters play a loud fanfare!

I had mixed feelings about the staging of the ceremony.
Lovely as a lot of the music was, it was, more often than not, too long for the part of the ceremony it was underscoring/marking.
The Handel during the process was lovely - but she arrived at the altar with far too much music left to go - leaving a gap. I would much rather switched the cellist and the soprano round - and reduced the number of pieces for the cellist. Walking in one of the pieces on the cello (probably the Faure as that was the best of his set) and then having the Handel for the signing of the registry would have made much more sense in terms of the flow of the event.
The choir was good - but the arrangement was a bit flat. It needed something more uplifting and joyful at that moment.
Some of the pieces played by the orchestra before the ceremony were absolutely lovely - shame we didn't get to hear more of them due to the talking heads.
It was still a very pleasant ceremony but it didn't quite hang together. I know it was a wedding ceremony not a stage show - but even so, you have to get the pacing and mood right even at a wedding.
Lovely flowers, frock was simple and stunning. Some really random hats - I am sure Camilla chose hers so she could hide her face. I still felt for Meghan when she made her solo walk. Not because I felt she should have been given away - but because it felt like a moment where she should have been surrounded by the love of her family. I know why it couldn't have happened under the circumstances but I wish a more supportive solution could have been found - even if it had been to be holding hands with the many, many children.

I think given how Meghan presents herself as a modern woman she had no trouble walking herself down the aisle rather than tangling the kids. Charles āwelcomingā her into the family was a sweet touch.
I felt more for Doria sitting by herself but I completely understand why she was, and admire how strong she was for her daughter.

So uninterested that you came here to tell us just how uninterested you were! Ā Well I came here just out of interest to see how many of our resident Corbynistas were calling for the abolition of the monarchy and was amazed to find them instead drooling over the event like a bunch of Daily Mail readers. Very odd. Felt I ought to register at least one vote for ādonāt careā.

Still sucking up the Royal Wedding-ness and watched the coverage from E! Entertainment last night. Duchess of Cornwall has a surprising title ...

This morningās paper had the first 13 pages dedicated to this.
To compound my misery, they also included a free supplement in the middle.

Yes it is nice to have a brief interlude of happiness for a change in the news. With Grenfell and the anniversary of the Manchester bomb this week is not a good news week.

Yes it is nice to have a brief interlude of happiness for a change in the news. With Grenfell and the anniversary of the Manchester bomb this week is not a good news week. Both Manchester (today) and Grenfell which I found very harrowing on Panorama and Newsnight last night. So no harm with a little light relief, that is what Brexit is for.
Manchester victims are in my thoughts today.
