The diehard fans may want former queens to return but for most of the fans of the show the thing they love most is the show itself. I can see fans going to see former cast members in subsequent roles like Kerry Ellis had that post Wicked fangirl posse for years. If this encourages Six fans to try other shows its good and at worse if they don't like the show they still like the performer they are following post Six.

I have a friend who works on the SpongeBob Tour and she now says that Hannah has definitely been cast in Six so take from that what you will.

I think Hannah will be Alt Boleyn/Howard (I think they'll want to use her reputation for being a reliable u/s to cover all 6 Queens), Maddi Firth Howard and Danielle Fiamanya Parr

Shes very big on the tiktok apparently Yes that's what I thought, but she has a decent resume as well. I am going before the cast change anyways so it won't matter.

I must be turning into an old grouch - I was really disappointed.
After years of listening to the soundtrack I was so excited but found it all very corny. 90% of the jokes don't land and the singing was mixed. I really didn't like Baylie Carson's Anne Boleyn, way too goofball for me.
It also didn't help I went to the matinee so there were so many really young teens screaming. I was surprised to see so many children there, really young - a lot of the lyrics and dancing are pretty adult.

I know it really hit some kind of zeitgeist and exploded but (very much IMHO obvs) this is one of the most overrated shows ever. And increasingly it's writers are turning into one hit wonders. That said many of my (mid 40s) gay mates obsessed with pop music, not really into musicals, love it. So what do I know lol. Truly wasn't for me though. Audience both times I went exactly as you describe and I'd not go again.

It was a shame because I don't begrudge teens having fun, but it was torture.

It doesn't help that the show has been 'TikToked' to death and everything is now played in fast forward. It is a totally different show now to what it used to be. I saw it last about 18 months ago and really didn't enjoy it. I was hoping things might've got better, but it doesn't sound like it. I yearn for the old Arts days where it was a cult thing with an older fanbase. Apart from Courtney, I don't think I have ever seen a great Boleyn. Millie's acting was great, but her singing...yikes! The Broadway one was annoying as hell and the last one I saw in London was TERRIBLE, but it wasn't Baylie.

Audience both times I went exactly as you describe and I'd not go again. It really is like something you would see at the RVT on a Sunday evening which is what I loved about it in the old days. Now it's been given a facelift and looks a lot more 'professional', but it has lost everything that used to be great about it which was that it was kind of very loose, a bit amateur and there was a lot more audience interaction in place of the 'race to the finish line' vibe it gives now.

Totally agree. At the old days, the casts had genuine chemistry. They also encouraged the actresses to bring themselves to the role (vocally, their characterization...). Now, everything´s much more standardized and the queens get less freedom, making the show more "professional" but a lot more lifeless and robotic, and therefore much less joyous.

I blame the Americans...it very much changed once they started bringing every production in 'line' with the US and Canadian productions even before it hit Broadway.

Oh, absolutely. Almost every bad change has come from the US.

Their midweek matinees are usually pretty quiet, but this was packed, helped by its run falling during school holidays. Lots of kids, including one next to me who sang along to most of the songs. About 8 or 9 years of age and singing about how Henry couldn’t get it up. Rather awkward. There are some nice songs, but agree the show is was really corny, particularly the competition and its resolution that you can see coming a mile off.

It's a fun and rather stupid female empowerment 'concert', not Schindler's List....

Lots of kids of any generation have been into "edgy" music. I'm sure children of the same age listen to mainstream music/rap with similar lyrics. Also how many pop stars who have a younger following do we read about doing raunchy dance routines, crawling about provacatively on stage wearing very little. I'm sure a lot of parents would rather take their children to show like Six than some of the concerts the children may request to see.

Saw it in the summer twice in 22 and twice in 21 still I would say the craziest audience I’d been apart of was in June 21 afew weeks after the theatre opened on a Sunday evening . I’m not joking the floor shook. If I hadn’t known any better would have thought it was a cast change.

The new queens have been announced.
Nikki Bentley as Catherine of Aragon Thao Therese Nguyen as Anne Boleyn Kayleigh McKnight as Jane Seymour Reca Oakley as Anna of Cleves Inez Budd as Katherine Howard Janiq Charles as Catherine Parr
along with Gabriella Stylianou as Alternate Aragon/Seymour Naomi Alade as Alternate Boleyn/Cleves
Hannah Lowther as Alternate Howard/Parr Meg Dixon-Brasil as Super Swing and Natalie Pilkington as UK Super Swing.
Along with a change to the performance schedule from the cast change date, the midweek 5:30pm matinee on a Thursday is gone except for school holiday weeks now starting at 4pm, although the whatsonstage says that the Thursday matinees still are available for schools only, but currently cannot find anything from Nimax or Six that publicly says this.
