This is super helpful, thank you so much for taking the time to reply, I’m definitely more intrigued now!
I think what really sold me on it, the first time I saw it, was how the girls are obviously having such a whale of a time! The cd gives you a touch of it, but there's so much humour and charm in the facial expressions and the dance moves and the asides in between songs. They really give it everything in the performance, and sell the whole thing so completely, that I think it's really hard not to be won over.
My favourite moment is just as Seymour finishes her big tearful ballad, belting out all those notes, with all that passion and emotion... and then walks to the side of the stage and whacks on a neon ruff and those comedy glasses and goes straight into Haus of Holbein.
^ that's what I can't wait to see. I haaaaate HoH on the cast album, as it blasts the mood apart, but live I think it'll probably work well for me.

As soon as SOLT decided to nominate all six of them as the same entry for the same award even though they're playing six different characters, it was abundantly clear that they didn't consider any of them to be a serious contender for the award, so it was almost insulting of them to even bother.
Not a SOLT decision. Producers decide who to submit for nomination and in what category.

they made the right decision. They wouldn't of got nominated for Best Actress in a Musical because the four nominated ladies were way out front for pretty much the last six months of the year. It would of been real tough to get the girls in there.
The Whatsonstage.com Awards are the one that initially confused me that they weren't even nominated, but then I guess fans of the show voted for different Queens and in the end they all cancelled eachother out?

Weirdly on this show they are one of the same!
Six is produced by Kenny Wax (And a couple of others but I believe Kenny Wax LTD is lead producer these days). The same Kenny Wax who is chairman of the Society of London Theatre. The Society of London Theatre literally run the Olivier Awards. This isn't hyperbole, they're their awards.
Is this perhaps what the auditions were for the other week? I would assume the current cast are on year contracts so would guess it would be a brand new cast for the tour.
I've seen Grace and Courtney as both Aragon and Seymour and both are very good at both roles. Courtney's actually my favourite Seymour and Grace my favourite Aragon so I have no complaints about either becoming the new first cover. Grace has very strong comedic timing whereas Courtney is much stronger on the emotional side of things (hence why she's a very good Parr) which might explain the switch as Seymour is more emotionally weighted than Aragon.

Does anyone know anything about themed cocktails for this?
There are Six, one based on each queen at £8 each. Which I didn't think was a bad price for a cocktail in central London. Each contains around 50ml of spirits. They also come out fairly close to colour of that Queens costume (when the alternates aren't on)
Aragon - Gin and orange tonic Boleyn - Vodka, midori and pinapple Seymour - White rum and cola Cleves - Prosecco and rose syrup Howard - Gin and rose lemonade Parr- Bols blue, vodka and lemonade
I've personally had the Parr and Howars and they were really nice. (All this info come from a photo I have on my phone because my mam didn't have her reading glasses)
I can SEYMOUR people getting into cocktail drinking as the summer comes.Don’t think cocktails are on a PARR with gin myself, but maybe that’s just me being ARAGONt...sorry,couldn’t resist😀
I don't think they will- in the Instagram stories from today's rehearsal they had the London costume sketches on the wall.
Having said that, I would LOVE to see a whole new set of costumes!!
They also said in the stories that Nicole Kyoung-Mi Lambert is swinging for Aragon, Parr and Cleves while Mallory Maedke is Boleyn, Seymour and Howard. Made me wonder whether when casting Grace's replacement they are specifically looking for Aragon (now) and Howard potentials, someone who can do all six or if they'll do another alternate swap around when the new swing is cast.
The main cast costumes are the same, however I think due to the different arrangement of the alternates in Chicago they are getting brand new costumes and I do believe I heard somewhere that there are more costumes than the 9.5 we have seen in London (.5 Cause Vicki kind of has two costumes due to needing a jacket for Cleves but a different top for the other Queens). Also on the Instagram account @cstcostumeshop they have photos of all the fabric samples. It's actually quite interesting to look through.
