Due to a family medical emergency I’m having to find ways around a few shows I have pre-booked.
One was “off west-end” and I’m extremely grateful to the theatre involved for allowing me to exchange for a later date.
Another is “An American in Paris” - I’m guessing that they would be less accommodating with regards to refunds or exchanges?
I’ve been extremely lucky in all the many years that I’ve been going to the theatre in that I’ve never had to cancel something I’d prebooked. It was inevitable though, and it’s finally happened. But now I’m not sure how best to proceed. eBay? Advertise on here (the notice board)?
Any suggestions welcome!

If you booked direct with the theatre or the show's official website they may be happy to exchange for a different date - I've found a few West End theatres will agree to do this.

It's worth giving them a call and asking. Otherwise I've had decent success with putting tickets up on here (even if not sold out if it's a decent seat and you're willing to knock off fees/post for free often people will take them) and/or asking on Twitter/FB/Family/friends.

Thanks guys. To be honest it’s not a show I’m that interested in seeing without the people who now can’t make it, and I don’t think they will be able to at a later date, so it’s really a refund I need.
Guess I’ll advertise them online - is it the notice board page I use?

There's a "Submit your notices here" subsection of the Noticeboard page. Post there and it'll get moved to where everyone can see it.
