You should get some cream for your tch, Tibidabo. And I understand Southernish just fine, thank you very much. I once spent the evening at Catford greyhound stadium!

What a hideous designed understudy sheet. Looks like one of my school technology projects!
Not a fan of the "unforseen circumstances" either

This is OFAH... be glad Del Boy isn’t charging more for understudies - “See ‘em before they gets famous! You know it makes sense!”

Based on the Comic Relief clip, Whitehouse was great, as was Hutton as Rodney. Can't warm to Del though. But would I pay upwards of £70? Not in a million years.

I wonder what has happened to Paul Whitehouse? Andy Mace has been covering as Grandad for the past week.

The bar next door to the theatre’s doing a roaring trade according to the barman I spoke to. They,ve created a special cocktail list including a Del Boy Daiquiri and Peckham Colada amongst others. 🤣🤣

Was in this afternoon. First, no merchandise, just the £10 programme (they take credit cards in the main foyer kiosk). Audience as expected - full report in the usual thread. Front row A has unlimited legroom except both end seats. Stage is high (head height 6ft) but you miss nothing. And the show... cast does well, very well at times. Loses its battle with the script about 2 scenes into act 2. Direction and choreography are a disaster - the director / choreographer credits appear to run only to "The Commitments" and "Faulty Towers Live In Australia" so no real wonder. And the mixing desk appeared to be having a bad afternoon too. More on my site, but this is pretty woeful. I'm going at the end of May and got a seat in the upper circle. Why are they telling me that that it's obstructed and I'll be looking through a perspex safety screen. I was up in the same area last year and it was fine. Did they add additional safety screens for this production?

After I saw it I advised my son [ who is a big fan of the program] to give it a miss.

For this to work it needs serious rewrites but I’m not convinced even then it would be anything worth writing home about. That being said, it was packed with middle aged men who would probably otherwise not go to the theatre and they seemed to enjoy it so there’s something to be said for knowing your audience. My big issue with the show is with the songs - the original songs sounded the same and each character had their own cookie cutter sad moment which didn’t particularly reflect their character or their storyline, and then there would be the odd 80s tune whacked in there (Bill Withers’ Lovely Day to close act 1? Seriously?). Was nice to see a proper MT cast with no real stunt casting though. I thought the set was very effective too.

Are audiences enjoying this show? I suspect it gets a standing ovation, because most things do these days but is it going down well?

Does anyone know if it has changed much since previews? I can't disagree with Theatremonkey's review but did enjoy that first preview. Trying to work out if I just enjoyed being at a first preview!

Not my thing at all, but if variety is the spice of life then it certainly adds a little je ne sais quoi to the dazzling WE.

Forgot to ask, for others who have seen this, false corpse: second half, Del comes on in leopard print pants and a jacket. Rodney corpses. Cue Grandad making "very small" gesture with his hands, Del making an obscene gesture with his cigar. . Felt like a set-up to me. Didn't happen the night I was there but we had an U/S Grandad so could be why.

The theatre website is now doing £45 best available seats. No additional booking fees either.
Officially it’s single seats only and you can’t choose where you sit, but it includes premium seats if available.
Just picked up centre Row D Dress for next week for £45 instead of £105. Wanted to see this but wasn’t going to pay the crazy prices this is usually going for.
Worth looking if you’re happy to go on your own, or sit apart. Seem to be plenty of dates available.

Saw this tonight - OH MY GOD
WHAT A HOT MESS!!!!!!!
The couple next to us left after interval and my dad said it was 5//10
What sane person actually made this creative decisions? The music WAS AWFUL! Bill Withers’ Lovely Day to close act 1? Seriously? Didn’t they think about adding a story in the development process?!!
AWFUL

Honestly what nearly everyone has said on here. I thought it was good. I enjoyed it. I am hoping I can get the same seat as I did next time I go.

Is it true they are selling pie, mash and jellied eels in the bar? Sounds about as artistically ground-breaking as the Benidorm trash that hogged the stage at the Alex in Brum last Christmas.Yes,snobbery is alive and well and living right here lol.

Just got a last minute front row seat for tonight! Is there any 'audience participation'?! I'll be on my own and hate that
