How the Tonys seem to get competent presenters and not the Oliviers is beyond me.

I'm scared to watch it on ITV2 later as I'll just get annoyed at what a shambles it is.

Well i'd ask who else we can get? America have such an array of people who are popular, well known and could do an amazing job. We are a bit more limited. I actually thought Carrie Hope Fletcher did a really good job hosting the Piazza event but she's probably not suited to the main role.

Thought it was a nice touch to have actors from the 4 Best New Play nominees to come and explain a little about the show and present clips, too.

I'd prefer someone who can present these sort of event rather than someone who is an actor but can't present for toffee.

Whoever hired Jack Savoretti for this evening should never, ever, be allowed to make a decision again.

Well I thought that the Play That Goes Wrong "Best performance in a Sequel" skit was absolutely hilarious - and that was just from listening to it on the radio! Really hope it makes the ITV Highlights cut.

Agreed!! Nice to have a change from Wicked & Les Mis taking alternate years to win it. And I really, really enjoyed Ben Forster's Phantom. May drag me back to the show!! Also a huge but BRILLIANT surprise to have In The Heights win Outstanding Achievement in Music. Hooray!!

I really liked Ben Forster's Phantom too! What a pleasant surprise. And Emmy is fantastic. But I already knew that.

Is anyone else wondering why they had the alternate Christine perform rather than the lead? Is Celinde Schoenmaker ill? I'm 1 out of 2 for the shows I was rooting for: Showstopper won but Peter Pan Goes Wrong didn't. I suppose that's a reasonable personal result!

Celinde Schoenmaker is on holiday, hence Emmi performed today.

Yes, but now I am expecting In The Heights to win, seems to be a lot of love for them - but you can never second guess the Oliviers.

Looks like each show was awarded fairly with 3 each for Kinky Boots, Gypsy and ITH. Must be the first year where Sonia Friedman isn't represented in either the Best musical new or revival or Best Play new or revival.
