Forget the dolphins, i'm going to be having nightmares about those leaping, bird snatching fish!

Simply outstanding and breathtakingly beautiful.
That image of the walrus hugging it's pup underwater will stay with me a long time.
The bird snatching trivially and the sex changing fish.
Just outstanding!

Really interesting and beautifully shot. But that circle thing with like a hundred arms shoving food in its hole was the stuff of nightmares. Sea cucumber!!! Who knew?!  The camera work and colours were so vivid, it was hard to conceive that it wasn't CGI-ed. Only when they showed the ultra-slow motion camera, and the surfing cameraman filming the dolphins did I believe that it was real footage captured - worth the price of a HD TV all by itself! Loved every minute of it, it really is the best programme on TV (much as Planet Earth was). Four years to make, and worth every second of footage shot. It also is the perfect programme for the cold, dark Sunday nights - combined with Strictly, it makes for a great evening's chill-out TV. |
