I very much felt it was 'panto with a budget' when I saw it a year or so ago. Loved the Cave set, the carpet, and the inclusion of Proud Of Your Boy (lovely song), but overall I too was a bit disappointed.

I'm afraid I just never enjoyed this show. It didn't come with the sort of production value/spectacle that I would normally expect from a Disney adaptation.
A strange thought though to have a closing of a west end show but for the set to remain in situ for a while longer for the filming. Wondering who is going to be the Genie for the film? I am wondering whether they are going to fly James Monroe Iglehart over (if Hamilton allows him the time off).

This is 10000% a Disney panto, love it or hate it. The reason it's still doing so well on bway is down to the fact they don't get pantos over there, IMO.
Do not get me started on his 3 mates and that never-ending song. Speaking of never-ending; Arabian nights struggles with the same issue in the show, they don't know when to end!
Whilst sets and performers are great- the overall experience does feel like a panto, a shame as it could have been so much more.

I think we can all safely say that we were all disappointed with Aladdin. It just didn’t match the grace, style and professional chic standard of Lion King, Mary Poppins or Beauty. It had good run and I saw it twice. Will it tour?

I think we can all safely say that we were all disappointed with Aladdin. Speak for yourself (and lots of others, no doubt) but “we can all...” is a bit presumptuous.

I liked "Aladdin" a lot more than "Lion King," in fact. Even without the monkey?

Aladdin is probably my least favourite Disney show which I've seen (Aladdin London, Mary Poppins London & Tour, Lion King London & Paris, Beauty and the Beast UK Productions tour & Paris. That doesn't mean I'm not sad to see it go. The carpet is amazing, even now I know how they do it. It doesn't have the emotion for me of the other shows but is great fun. I'll be there on Saturday evening and I can't wait

Guess were gonna have to agree to disagree. You can agree to what you like, to be honest.

Do you think the purple seats will stay? We're they added in just for Aladdin? I don't remember them being purple when going to see Miss Saigon .

Was anyone at the final show? I was. Great performance, very appreciative audience and great speach from Trevor (Genie) at the end (it's on Facebook if you look go it)

Aladdin the Musical is being professionally recorded for a film (I’m guessing to be released on Broadway HD maybe ?)

Great show and glad it’s being recorded...there are a lot of Aladdin fans out there who will be really pleased about this news.

I wonder why they are filming this without an audience, as it closed three days ago. They usually would have one for BWW wouldn’t they?

Do we know the cast? I'm secretly hoping for a different Aladdin.
