Judging by their twitter feed this is a return for the Jamie Lloyd Company - all of Jamie Lloyd's productions since Doctor Faustus have not been part of this.

Martin Crimp isn't a name that immediately springs to mind as someone to tackle the boisterous comedic side of the play... The last thing Cyrano needs is more angst.
Let's hope for a run time of well under 3 hours. Cyrano always stays too long in the theatre in my experience.

Saw the Kevin Kline/Jennifer Garner version on Broadway 10 years ago (and enjoyed it), don't know if I'm in that much of a rush to see it again.

Jamie Lloyd directed Cyrano De Bergerac five years ago with Douglas Hodge in the main role on Broadway so I'm guessing this will be either the same production with a new translation or a new production entirely

Bertie Carvel workshopped for this last year, but presumably was too busy with Ink.
I nose they both have fine noses. (Sorry I'm terrible at puns.)

I'm... not... so keen on it, I mean, I don't like what they did with the idea, they set in in the 17th century, gave him a long nose, maybe it made it a bit funnier... but, but for the British, Bergerac is John Nettles... I... I thought you ruined it really... I'm just glad you haven't got your hands on "Lovejoy"

Do we know any more about this yet? I believe some people got emails confirming the production's existence, but I don't know if there was any more to those than just that. Maybe someone's heard some whisperings?
