Very interesting. Is the San Fran run closing around the time this opens and they're just bringing the set and cast all over?

Love the fact this show has kept its following up as its a pure story telling piece with little in the way of gimmicks or glitz.

Very excited to see this again with a new cast. The previous two have been EXCELLENT and no doubt they'll knock it out of the park again.

Great, really keen to see this, not a NT member so will wait for public booking.

Third time seeing this last night. Annoyingly John Heffernan was off as I'd very much liked him in Nachtland earlier this year and was looking forward to seeing him again - but Leighton Pugh was excellent and not a single sign he was understudy - in what must be a tough roll.
GL was maybe 2/3 full and there was no issue with changing seats. So our £25 front row became even more of a deal as we moved back to the fancy seating area (along with a number of the others sat by us).
The show is what it is. I love it. I saw the NT transfer to the Piccadilly and I'd never seen anything like it. I pickup/notice more or different things on each visit and I'll happily revisit again next time it comes around. Given the number of empty seats (although Halloween and around many peoples payday so they could have been having a quiet night) and what looks to be a lot of seats through January, I suspect it might be a while before we see this one come around again.
Still 5 stars for me, it would take a really poor evening to drop it.

Dave B, I know! I adore the show, seen it twice but this time booked specifically for John, miss his stage work! Hope he’s ok, seemed to be last minute, no mention of pre-planned absence on the web or via email. I agree you wouldn’t notice otherwise, an excellent replacement, very SRB vibes coming in. The younger brother (and everyone who came after) impressed the most though. Still completely spellbinding, this production never puts a foot wrong.
P.S. If anyone’s going next week please please update on Mr Heffernan, I might shift some things if he’s back.

Accidentally met John Heffernan at The Other Place matinee today (what are the chances??) he’s back on, still a bit if a harsh voice but very well recovered he said. He’s such a top class guy, had a lovely chat.

Shifted some things and finally got to see John Heffernan - what a wonderful take, elegant, nuanced, allowing for spontaneity, his immaculate articulation and comic timing. I know he would nail it, such a feast for a talented actor, but he also brings something I haven’t seen in this part before. He would occasionally breaking the forth wall to tell a story face to face, not to the big black giant only. He would intentionally not change the characters swiftly and abruptly, but sometime would rather grow from one to another and this transition is fascinating to watch. Quite a departure from SRB, not only physically but in all kind of ways possible. They got lovely chemistry among the cast too and some bits I discovered as if for the first time. Gosh, I missed this show, it’s so flawless! I could watch it again once it’s finished. And then again. Lively audience for a matinee too, applause mid scene and much more laughs than I remember last time

Hoping to pick up a ticket for this on Friday evening. Anybody have experience with the state of the TodayTix rush for it?

Hoping to pick up a ticket for this on Friday evening. Anybody have experience with the state of the TodayTix rush for it? I've noticed they seem to be available for a few hours rather than selling out at 10am, so I reckon if you go on at 10am you will be fine

Hoping to pick up a ticket for this on Friday evening. Anybody have experience with the state of the TodayTix rush for it? I tried last week as a rehearsal Friday was fine - multiply availability in Stalls H, O, P and R and the row A circle. Tickets avail even after half an hour. Saturday was hopeless though - two shows, entered straight in at 10am, all tickets held, sold out in 4 minutes. Can’t understand such difference, maybe because I was aiming at a matinee, which is twice as popular since it’s a rather long one. 1pm starts makes it appealing for some who’s doing a double show day too, I suppose.

Annoyingly, I've been doing rehearsal runs the last two days and I can never get through for a single ticket! No problems trying for a pair, but always get the 'all being held' pop up for a single!

Keep trying! Good luck BTW, my comment above all referring to a single ticket search. Shame if they only sell in pairs and show avail for singles only when there's a lonely seat..

Will definitely keep trying. Will be in London on Friday anyway to my trip doesn't hinge on the play. Have to say, I haven't had much real success on with TodayTix for ages. Had a really good run getting pretty much everything I wanted, but had to end up paying full(ish) whack for Next To Normal, and still haven't seen Hadestown despite many attempts!

Have you tried Trilogy seats at all? Annoyingly I can't find a link to the last one they sent me, but I managed to get a great stalls seat on there last week
