I swear there used to be a thread about theatre blogs on here but I cannot find it now. Maybe it was all the way back on the old forum. Anyway, I wanted to make a thread here because I know that many people on this forum also have their own blogs, or might have opinions about blogs / blogging in general. I personally don't blog now as much as I used to, due to work (although my theatre blogging experience is undoubtedly part of the reason why I got my current job), and also other time pressures. Still love to read blog posts by others though. Anyway my own blog is www.talkstageytome.co.uk/ - I thought we could all share ours. Also www.rsc.org.uk/blogs/engine-room |

I have another musings blog lying empty, my Jane Asher work will fit in there. I hope it is controversial, I think just slagging AAIP in its early days was sacrilege until lots of people realised it wasn't selling very well. I had many issues with it but that is the thing I remember being disproportionately annoyed by. It is just weird behaviour from anyone and we have to watch over two hours of a man saying "maybe she will pick me" about a woman who barely interacts with him throughout the whole show. It is the ultimate 'Nice Guy' wankery than women complain about on the internet. My Jane Asher blog will be less angry. |

I heard so much great stuff about AAIP and I do remember liking the film, but I've not got round to seeing it yet and that plot synopsis is hardly selling it to me. That being said, I do actually own some of Jane Asher's crockery (a mini pink lasagne dish!) so maybe I'll be swayed? 😂
