Some extremely contrived "this happened because it has to happen" writing last night as well. Why exactly were the son and his friends hanging out at the dad's workplace and who was filming them??

I've watched all of series 1 and caught up with series 2 in a week. I got weirdly addicted and I never 'binge watch' any series- about 2 episodes of something a week is usually all I can take. But this is weirdly addictive. It's totally trashy and ridiculous but oddly compelling (and not just waiting to see if Bertie's Bum makes another appearance).
I do agree the last couple of episodes seem to have derailed a bit though, I'm not writing it off just yet- I can see hope for a suitably over the top conclusion somewhere. Suranne is indeed relishing the melodrama of it all- she gives angry driving game like nobody else-and I adore her for it.
Also I have developed a 'thing' for Adam James. Oh who am I kidding I always had a 'thing' for Adam James.

Not that I'm obsessed with Mr C or anything. (Dog is a Golden Retriever and therefore looks nowt like him but still) |

I think he's uncomfortable because he's clearly not someone who likes all of the 'interview stuff' that needs to happen for publicity, he's quite private apparently.
And I guess he's not the traditional leading man (and doesn't seem to really want to be) and therefore probably doesn't care a jot whether his teeth are perfect or not. Just a guess.

Although Parsley likes to convince us that he is oh-so-very-cultured and highbrow, I bet the reality is that he never misses an episode of 'The Only Way Is Essex', won't go out if 'Gogglebox' is on and regularly calls into the 'This Morning' phone-in using a variety of different voices in the desperate hope of talking to Holly Willoughby. I bet he drinks wine out of a box too.  |

And clearly there's a few of us here who don't give a jot if his teeth are perfect. We may be shallow but thankfully not that shallow. Anyway, as much as he has demonstrated his, ahem various qualities. It's actually his talent as an actor that brought him to our attention. Poor bloke I don't think I'd much fancy dragging my sorry self down to This Morning to be interviewed either. |

After a good episode last week I am looking forward to the finale tonight, but the way the series has gone I'm not going to set my expectations too high and then hopefully I'll be pleasantly pleased. Also expecting it to be rather outlandish and contrived but why not....s'only telly!!

But also, in the same way some theatre is just daft fun ENTERTAINMENT, so is TV. So bring on whatever ridiculous conclusion it has for us. Oooh maybe Bertie is going to dress up as a woman again...plot twist! |
