Ts got enough name recognition to go into the big at Southwark hasn’t it?

Oh, this is exciting! I love this score but 2017 was before I'd figured out that getting to Hope Mill from here was actually an option.

Surprised to see seating is in socially distanced bubbles for this, albeit with a disclaimer during the checkout process that capacity may increase.

Thanks for the heads up, I forgot booking was today. The bubbles and leaving a number for contract tracing is odd, retro and frustrating - I couldn't get my first choice of seats. If this is anything like the directors last show at the theatre sit central as she ignores people who sit on the sides

It's a shame there are no decent front row seats offered for single theatregoers.
I would have booked now, but looks like I'll have to wait until the seats in the gaps go on sale (which should include some prime single seat positions in the current gaps).

Sorry Tom, I'm a party of 3, I got two together and the neighbouring single on the front row of the circle. Would of preferred side stalls but hey hum - have you tried the upstairs seats? Maybe still some left 🤞

I didn’t even think to try the pairs and see if it would let you book a single. Anyway, I shall look again later. I’m not expecting an immediate sellout.
I have set upstairs at the Park Theatre once but it was an awkward angle (hopefully I’m not muddling this up with another theatre).

Never been to this theatre. Is the view good anywhere?

I decided to secure the solitary decent single seat in stalls row B as it was available on a Tuesday when I already have a matinee booked at Southwark Playhouse The website states they exchange tickets for a £2 fee so I might do that to move forward if the opportunity arises.

Overall it was very good. It's too long (2hr 45 with interval) and could do with tightening up, but the performances are very charming, particularly the four sisters. It's modestly staged but it suits the piece, and there are some good voices. 'Astonishing' is the Act 1 closer and it's performed well, as is 'Some Things Are Meant To Be' in Act 2, in a very tender scene with Jo and Beth (this is the point where Joey put his book in the freezer in Friends!).
A recommended watch, but I'd say go for the matinee if you can, due to its running time.

Ooh forgot to mention the Defying Gravity moment at the end of Act 1. Song called “Unlimi.... um “Astonishing”. All she needed was the broomstick. There was a light, and everything. Sorry to quote myself from 4 years ago but…🙂

Watching this now.. what an amazing little production! I completely fell in love with Lydia White and can't want to see her in other projects.. absolutely brilliant!
