Who? Seriously, I'd pay that. I'm paying a lot more than that to see Oscar Isaac in Hamlet, since I'm going to New York for it! I've messaged you

Thanks! Pretty sure that person is going to get herself reported to RADA and her tickets cancelled, because she seems to be tweeting under her real name.

Here's hoping they are - and that someone for whom it would mean a lot will end up getting her balloted tickets in a secondary round.

I didnt expect to be successful but I didn't expect RADA to ignore me either... Still no email (I got the original email "Thank you for..." just after I filled in a form so it must be working)

Yeah, my friend didn't get her unsuccessful email either.
I am going to be utterly useless today. It's so stupid of me to be upset. I mean, there's so many more important things going on in the world right now.

You're not the only one - I didn't get any sort of notification either, not even a no.

I mean, there's so many more important things going on in the world right now. Nope, nope. You have every right to be upset. We all have the things that keep us going in this mad and terrible world, and for you Hamlet-ing and being a big Hiddles fan is one of them. I'm upset on your behalf because I so wanted you to get to see it. And I won't ever stand for anyone telling anyone they've no right to be upset about the things they love. So don't you make yourself feel worse by feeling you shouldn't be upset. I've broken my heart over theatre tickets before and I'll do it again. I am so sorry it didn't work out (and I'm hoping for a Hiddles Hamlet miracle for you)

Thanks Emi. It's nice to know people who understand. I'm sitting here in the office thinking about just how baffled my colleagues will be if I start crying over not getting theatre tickets.

I've honestly cried over less in the office. But also I know that baffled look...usually any time I open my mouth about theatre. (also if it helps I've sneaked out at LEAST 4 times to cry about Angels related things in the last 8 months or so, one of which was defiantly ticket-getting-related-angst)
I just wish I was the kind of rich RADA alumni who could swing some tickets for you somehow! instead I'm 'whothef***areyou' alumni 'getinlinefortickets'

For the real masochists, the booking pages are available for priority booking only (the ballot people I guess) with general sale starting after the run completes

I don't know if they're doing that for anyone - it looks very much like everyone was told to get in line! I've just torn myself away from asking random strangers on twitter who got tickets if they need a +1. Because really, woman, get some self-respect. I will get over this. I will.

(Two unsuccessful in this household too. Disappointed but I doubt it would have beaten Andrew Scott for me. But I’d have liked to have formed my own opinion)

I wouldn't try if offered - could be expensive.

Nobody questions anyone entering a building who is wearing a hi-viz jacket and carrying "a bucket of water for the crew." Some of you might have to have a, ahem, shave first TM.

For a minute there I thought you were suggesting chucking a bucket of water at Hiddleston mid-soliloquy. Possibly because when I was at uni, and we had A1 (remember them?) 'headline' our summer ball, someone actually did approach a friend of mine who was working the bar and ask for a coupe of pints of water. When she explained it had to be bottled because the only tap water they had was non-potable, he said 'Oh, I don't want to drink it. We're going to chuck it over A1'. Obviously she gave them to him.

Getting the tickets easier than I though. At fist on queue of 450 or so and it went down steadily and then quickly meaning me think all £15 tickets had gone. I looked on 1st September and still available and got some good seats for the first preview!!! Looking forward to it already!

Yes, getting the tickets was easier than I thought, too! I got put in the queue at random places on different browsers (32, 64, 600's and 300's for some examples!) and seemed to be staying in one position for a very long time. Then I opened a new tab and selected the date I wanted to go for first and I found some sort of glitch in the matrix and it took me straight to the booking page! Managed to grab 2 Under 25 tickets in Row B, very much looking forward to it!! I've tried to log back in and check out availability but it's not letting me view any booking pages when I click on a date, just telling me open booking will start on 30th Sept (useful for no one...) and that I don't have access to priority booking, which possibly means that the system knows my account has booked a maximum of 2 tickets and I'm out!

just telling me open booking will start on 30th Sept (useful for no one...) Grasping at straws I know - but might that suggest a second run that will go on sale then?

No, it's been pretty firmly established that these three weeks are it, and if anything does go on future sale, they are terrible liars. That said, TM, can you use your considerable influence to get a special performance for TheatreBoard members? We'll sit in on a late dress rehearsal ready to laugh at the jokes before the paying punters get in or something.

just telling me open booking will start on 30th Sept (useful for no one...) Grasping at straws I know - but might that suggest a second run that will go on sale then? They say that if anything is left over, or if people who were successful don't book in these 48 hours, then those who weren't successful will be randomly selected and emailed before Tues 15th August. If you hear nothing after then, then I think it's over! As for the run, it ends on 23rd Sept, so saying that booking opens on 30th Sept is why it's useful for no one!

It's probably a software thing - they've had to set a 'public booking' date and so have set it for well after the end of the run.
They've made the decision that the ballot is it - they're not even doing returns - so that page is staying locked down to the public.
I'm not holding out hope that they're lying and there will be more performances. Hiddleston has promo duties for Thor 3, out in late Oct/early Nov, and that usually means a month-long press tour.
