I like to think that Gilles Muller celebrated his famous victory with a yoghurt, or maybe a pot of cold, cooked rice.
Little things please little minds, and all that!

I don't mind Lloyd but Inverdale! Though saying that he is slightly better as a commentator than he was as a presenter, the BBC were very sensible in dropping him though a shame it took them so long.

Oh my! Could we have the two Johns (Inverdale and Lloyd) commentating on every match please? They are absolutely delightful. John Inverdale should not be allowed near Tennis.

Lovely day at Wimbledon yesterday! The sexism (not putting as many women's matches on Centre and No1 Court) paid off for me as was on court 2 and we got to see Kerber (no1 seed!) beaten by Muruguruza. Fantastic match. Long rallies, no idea who was going to win the match...in the end M just a bit more creative and attacking but just WOW! Also got to see baby Zverev (Sasha) , disappointed he lost to Raonic (does that man even like playing tennis?) So pleased we had no rain....charmed life as today looks poor weather wise. I was also there yesterday, Latecomer, on court 1. So lucky with the weather and matches, Konta and the Nadal epic. Was also surprised to see Kerber/Muguruza on court 2. So pleased to see M win, she's my favourite (after Konta of course!) and doing well again today. I'm sure that off court Nadal is a very nice man (waiting for Muller after being beaten was class) but on it he is sooooo irritating. Not just the pre-serve ritual but his OCD antics with the towels. At one point yesterday there was a ball boy missing from one end of the court, Nadal was standing literally next to the chair with his towel on it but just kept staring so the boy had to run from the other side of the court to hand it to him!! I'm afraid we were cheering for Muller (& also better for Roger!) I did say at one point that Muller needed to eat some more yoghurt. I used to love John Inverdale but his constant snarky-ness really grates now.

Will keep looking. I just don't like his style and delivery. I'm not a fan of Clare Balding but I was glad when she replaced him at Today at Wimbledon. Steve Redgrave really didn't like him at Rio last year.

Well, I don't watch sport (even though I'm taking in a bit of this year's Wimbledon, obvs.) and cannot stand the shouty commentators usually on - I just like his voice, it's very soothing. (Though, granted, some twaddle does come out I now see.) Cannot STAND Clare Balding either.

Clare Balding is lovely. I think she is freelance so interesting that the BBC has her for Wimbles. She must be very professional and she certainly does her homework.

They are all a bit odd but I tend to judge by how they treat the ball boys/girls and how annoying their coaching staff are! Noticed yesterday that when Raonic gets annoyed with himself after losing a point he asks for his towel and just wipes it over his mouth....and Zverev starts to twitch his shirt and just flash his stomach at the other player when stressed!!! Sharapova always used to touch the wall at the back of the court between each point! Glad you got such fab games!

A question to you guys who have been. Does the female sealion barking noise sound as loud when you're in the crowd, or is it just that the microphone amplifies it out of my telly box?
And doncha just l'oef this umpire's aczent?

And doncha just l'oef this umpire's aczent? Yes, they are quite loud when you are there! And the ref kept making us laugh yesterday.....he was like something from the 70s! Sounded so laid back, most amusing!

I thought Simona Halep played better for a lot of that match but in the end Johanna deserved to win it.

This time last year I was on my way to Centre Court for Mens' Quarter Finals. Two five-setters - a great day. Hope everyone going today has an amazing time.

Took a gamble and tried for tickets on Ticketmaster yesterday and got them for the ladies semi finals on Thursday so will be able to watch Jo play Venus!
Hopefully it is a good match - alongside the other semi which is a nice mix of styles.

Is Andy about to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?!

Aha! You pretend not to be interested but you even know the terminology. In other news: I reckon if I put on Cilic's shorts they'd scrape the floor....

Ah that was sad. Andy really put up no fight towards the end of that match, and he looked in a lot of pain. No excuse, really, he could've called a medical I guess but he's had a problem for a while now and it had to give eventually! Come on Jo Konta!!!

Aw. Dames Maggie and Ian McK in the audience. Together... People will talk!! Ian McK and his binoculars (with which he seemed to spend as much time studying the Royal Box as the tennis) were there yesterday too, though not with Dame Maggie... he was with another dame entirely who may or may not have been an actual Dame, and they were both blowing air-kisses to Gerard Butler in the Royal Box.
